5 Stars, no if's, why's or but's
We have a fossil stone bowl that had suffered from having some rotten grapes left in it. Being a calcium carbonate based stone they had corrode their way into the bottom of the bowl leaving it very rough and grotty looking. I must admit I really wasn't holding out much hope of getting smooth again, however this kit is just superb. I followed the instructions using the progressively finer grits in order. The first course grit really attacked the roughness and it was looking 90% better after just that. I went through the other grits and followed it up with the polishing powder and I have to admit it's as good as new and you can't tell it's suffered and damage at all. Excellent and highly recommended.

worked great
so it is easy to use and the instructions are great, but keep in mind its elbow grease that gets the job done. I had scratches and rust stains in my marble. I spent two months working a small area because it just is like sandpaper and you have to take it down lower than the stain to remove it. Its just time consuming but it gets the job done. I screwed up at first going in lines straight back and forth like sanding. That is bad, make sure you go different directions and small circles, alternating directions and oscillatiing. I did use a different polish at the end because the white powder just didnt cut it for me. but this method beat buying a new double marbled sink top.

Was not able to restore the shine using this product
I was not able to get the shine back after using this product. My polished marble table is now dull and looks honed. I think to restore the shine I would need to take it to a professional. I don't know that I necessarily care that much if its shiny or not, but after trying the process twice and using up all of the polishing powder, customers should know they may lose the shine.

doesn't work
Didn't return the the original finish to the marble counter top. I didn't really notice any change at all.

Life saver!!
I used a cleaner on our marble floor that I shouldn't have. You could see where the cleaner (despite being diluted with water) splashed on the white marble. Little clouds everywhere. Thought I made a very expensive mistake. Everytime I walked over them all I could see the marks and it drove me nuts. Tried other cleaners and no luck. Gave this a try and thank the heavens I did! Instructions were fairly easy to follow given what is necessary to do and you are provided with all you need. Multiple sanding grits for surface stains to deep ones. Fixed my issues and hope you have the same luck.
