Don't believe negative reviews
I've owned my original set of these Andrea brand wireless headphones for almost three years as I write this review. Shocked would best describe my reaction to the negative reviews I read today prior to purchasing a second pair today for use at home. I have used these for work, to record my lectures and to dictate my written research for at least 7 hours each week during which time I have experienced no technical problems, more than acceptable battery life, and flawless microphone pickup along with the adequate sound quality I would expect from a mono headphone. I did replace the headset cushion this year, but I hold no expectation that a foam ear cushion should last longer than three years.Another invaluable feature is its light weight. I am essentially unaware of its presence even as I don the unit through three consecutive, 75-minute undergraduate lectures each day I teach. However, this extremely light weight comes at a cost. While the headset is technically impressive and always dependable it is by no means equally durable. I would not lend this headset to any of my minor children, as I treat the headset more or less delicately to maintain its like new condition. Another important design tradeoff is its relatively short Bluetooth range. Clearly the petite, featherweight design was a deliberate compromise between multiple desirable yet competing product features, among them were weight vs durability and battery life vs signal strength. I think what they came up with makes them valuable enough to be glad to have bought my first pair in 2020 and happy to buy my second pair in 2023.

Great technically but issues with physical parts
The sound quality is good and the headset charges quickly. However I had two problems with the construction; the metal "slider" band in the headband is too lose. It can cause the headband fit to change. Also, my long hair gets caught in the rubber piece at the end of the headband side opposite the ear because it doesn't stay secure to the headband. It's not fun pleasant to get disentangled. As a satisfied user of the Andrea wired NC-61 headset for years with Dragon Naturally speaking with no issues, I hope to hear from Andrea.

Absolute junk
I seldom leave Amazon reviews, especially negative ones. However, I will with this item. The first one I received would not turn on. The on/off switch was totally defective. I got a replacement yesterday. This one turns on but with my MacBook, it loses the connection every minute or so. The only way to resolve it is to turn the headset off and then back on, wait for it to reconnect, and then reset the accessibility settings to use this microphone to dictate, which I badly need. Also this is very cheaply made and poorly designed. The buttons are hard to find and work with and every time I take it off my head it pulls out clumps of hair. Avoid avoid avoid.

Excellent for voice recognition
Been looking for a headset for voice recognition (VR) on a Mac using Dictation. (Thanks to the >50% reviewers who reported Dragon Pro/Mac as deeply flawed software.) Latest Bluetooth has enough bandwidth/speed to provide a serious option to costly RF units.Andrea's WNC-2100 ticks all the boxes. Appears well-constructed and solid, nicely finished--but weighs less than two ounces. Adjustable headband is just enough to make a comfortable fit, so the mono headset sits almost unnoticed on my head. (WNC-2500 is stereo, heavier.) (Only time will tell whether the headband and ear padding share lineage with old Radio Shack pads now become small dustpiles, but Andrea does sell earpads.)Bluetooth pairing with MacBook Pro is quick; once paired, the computer recognizes the headset when it's activated. And here's the best part, after all the rest: VR accuracy with the Andrea product is excellent--on a par with (heavier, wired, more expensive, etc) Sennheiser headset that's been my standard for a while. But unlike the Sennheiser--no bloody wires. It's clear from the manual and marketing blurbs the product was aimed at phone use (how to: answer call, end call, voice dial, last number redial), hence the noise cancelling feature. I suspect NC may improve VR by reducing background noise. As for battery life: I haven't run the thing out to the end of its tether yet, but if Andrea says 12 hours that's good enough for me. I should talk for so long.Comes with a light-weight carry case, USB charge cable, USB 4.0 dongle (for Windows). This one's a winner. Thank you, Andrea.

Not reliable
When it was connected, the sound quality and noise cancellation was good. But, the range was about 10 feet at most and would drop out and say, "connect me" over and over in the middle of a call or just start chopping up your words. It's not good enough if you need a reliable headset.

Excellent
I don't often write reviews. Years ago I purchased Andrea's wired headset and I am still using it, but it is wired. I wanted a wireless. I tried a less expensive unit and returned it. Then I bought this. It is really excellent. It is light and comfortable. The band that goes over your head is not too long (some are so long they go over your opposite ear). The sound is very good and most importantly it transcribes through Dragon almost perfectly. It is actually better than the wired headset. Its all about the microphone. Please note, the sound volume on the mic is high. Go into your window's settings and turn it down, it will work much better.

Could not get it to work
I bought this product on the strength of recommendations that I found on the Internet, but in the end I could not get it to work. The problem is that the USB dongle that comes with the product is not compatible with the Bluetooth adapter (Qualcomm Atheros AR3021 Bluetooth 4.0) on my Dell XPS PC. I exchanged multiple rounds of emails with Andrea technical support, but we could not resolve the problem. Unfortunately too much time had passed to return the headset to Amazon for a refund.
