Can't beat this for the $$$
Before i start this, i just want to comment that i was eligable for "5-7 day free shipping" from Amazon so i chose it. The package arrived 42 hours later! i couldn't believe it. I have used Amazon.com many times for many purchases and the Amazon/UPS relationship continues to amaze me. (p.s. i also saved almost $20.00 on my total purchase cost)As for the HP All-in-One? What can i say but, it rocks. It comes out of the box, sets-up, and works just fine. It scans, copies, prints from file etc. I haven't tried to print photographs so i can't speak to that. I wanted a basic printer for my Dell notebook, and this thing is way more than i expected. Especially for the $$$!Like my first HP printer, if you take your time and follow the set-up instructions, you should be fine. Seriously, a fifth grader could hook this up. Printers are touchy, complex machines. Really read the instructions and take your time, and you should be ok.TWO IMPORTANT THINGS! You will need a USB cable to hook your printer to a computer. You can order one with your printer for about $7 right off of this Amazon page. Mine came USPS (for free) and took 4 days to arrive. You will also need a fresh package of printer paper because the printer will want to run an alignment test when you first turn it on and install the ink cartridges.I've read some of the negative reviews of this item... The CD did not install a bunch of stuff to my computer like one person said, what it did install is necessary to operate the printer, and doesn't take up much space at all. (it did create a new toolbar on my browser which i turned off) I haven't had a jam yet... i've ran 20lb. paper and 110lb. card thru it and it's fine. It is an ink hog, but it's not a commercial grade copier. You can order more ink carts right here anyhoo, so that's not too big a deal... I have had a tendency in the past to print up everything under the sun, and it really is a waste of paper and energy. So now i'll be more selective about what i print up.For $70.00, delivered in less than 2 days, comes out of the box and works, and is a scanner/copier too? HP All-in-One gets my vote!

Very nice printer
I read the reviews on different printers for quite a few months now and decided to break down and buy the HP Photosmart 4480. I was worried that the photo prints would not be good but I was wrong. The first picture I printed was like getting a professional print. I then found I could not get the same quality of prints there after. The pictures were "pixelly" and not good quality. I messed with the settings and came up with the perfect combination that I was getting professional quality prints again. I must have printed more than 20 photos and have not even used half the color ink and hardly any black ink. I bought extra ink in case the printer used a lot of ink during photo printing and it's still in the box and I am still a printing fool. I am totally happy with this printer and would say to anyone looking for a decent printer at a reasonable price, consider this one.

Never Again HP
I will never buy another HP printer again after all of the bull I have had to put up with. I have had so many problems with this printer from the moment it came out of the box. If I could I'd ship it back. The first problem I have is with the printer cartridges. If you don't have both in the printer it won't work, if it's not specifically a new hp cartridge it won't work, the cartridges are expensive as hell, and they are not recyclable (so no rebate or money towards your next purchase). Then if you are able to find some cheap cartridges, they aren't compatible with the printer or the printer won't accept it all the time. The printer itself prints fine until you've had it for more than 3 months then it randomly starts printing so slowly it's like waiting for a red to turn green and even that goes faster but then suddenly it starts printing regularly again. The scan quality is poor at best. I always have to scan from the computer, I can't actually press the scan button on the printer and it work. Then it scans to funny places and you have to hunt for the picture or document for a while after it's finished with all of the changes you've made. The copy quality is okay, that's probably the best feature. Otherwise this is a great printer that I would never recommend to anyone, not to mention the problems I have been having with my HP laptop. Overall, HP needs to step up their game by like 10.

Review of C4480 Printer
It is an Ok printer so far that will probably last 1-2 years at best then conk out period like my last one did. Currently when I go to scan sometimes I have to unplug it for 60 minutes, hold my breath, then re-boot, and maybe re-install the software. Then it scans. This is a new twist that I hope doesn't last. So far no jamming issues. Well the machine is pretty cheap and does a credible job of printing - It is an OK machine and you won't be too unhappy - uses a bit of ink -HP cartridges only boys and girls -no offshore stuff from Lower Sloblovia - buy them online from HP - cheapest I have found - Amazon is a pretty good supplier of these machines.
