Worked very well, was able to cut to the size I needed. I did have to use a rubber band or paper clip to secure them to the grease filter on the oven fume hood, but they work great.Great for extra filtration on my stove and filters for my litter box.

I recently watched a video on You Tube that detailed a woman cleaning the hood filter on her stove (silver part). First you fill a large pot with water and bring it to a boil on the stove. If your pot is large enough you can do this next part right on the stove, but mine was not, so I used my kitchen sink. I stopped up the sink, put the silver part of the filter inside the sink, and poured the boiled water onto it. Then I added one cup of baking soda. It will fizz up. Take a pair of gloves that are heat resistant or a pair of salad tongs and turn the filter over and over until you see the grease come off. You can use an old toothbrush to scrub it too. Repeat if you did not get all the grease off the first time... otherwise it shoud come out shiny like new. Rinse it off and let it dry overnight. I tried to clean the carbon by soaking it in a degreaser, but that did not work. So I was overjoyed when I saw a three pack for sale on Amazon.com. Most places want you to pay $22.00 for the hood filter with the charcoal attached. Once I cleaned the hood filter (silver part) all I needed were the charcoal replacements, so that was not an option for me. Thanks again Amazon!

These filters were not made specifically for my Whirlpool range hood but they were the right size and the price was great. I had to trim off about one eighth of an inch on one side, easy to do with scissors. I will order them again.

We needed to trim them a bit to fit, but it was easy to do with scissors and there was no ragged edges. Seem to work just fine as replacements in our over the stove microwave.

I want to start off by saying that I did not use this product on a range vent. My Fridgidaire above range microwave has a charcoal filter in the vent. This filter is a bit thinner than the one I took out, but I cut and overlapped them and will get about 3 to 4 filers out of this for less money than if I would have bought the factory replacement.

OMG! I rather pay more for the thicker filter. This is the right size but it’s thin that you can see through.

I trimmed it to fit . got enough for six filters for a magic chef microwave exhaust fan. fits behind 7 1/4 x 5 x 1/8 in. metal grease filter. this is a non-vented unit. it helps with smoke. better yet when installing an over stove microwave vent it outdoors . next time I will .
