Iwata-Medea Eclipse HP G3 Pistol Grip Airbrush Gun / Gravity Feed Fixed Dual Action

If you are looking to use this gun for airbrush tanning think again! Wayyy too much overspray, fog like cloudy after spray. Not a good buy for that so I'm planning on returning. Was very excited when I ordered but unhappy with the spraying result. Overall the gun is great sturdy and light weight. But definitely not for spray tanning

Was considered a good fit for spray-tanning but it is too fine. Probably great for artwork, but not for our purpose.

I have a LOT of different airbrushes. I use a lot of different types of paint, and airbrush tanning liquids. The reviewers who claimed this sprayed "too fine and cloudy" I can't possibly imagine took the time once set up and loaded with product, to take 5 minutes and play spraying a piece of cardboard learning the various spray patterns.The IWATA G3 is great! I've done full body spray tans with my Iwata Revolution siphon feed (bottle feed) airbrushes, with my Iwata Eclipse siphon feed (Bottle feed) airbrushes, and with the Iwata G3 gravity feed airbrushes. The smaller Revolutions and Eclipses take more time and aren't made to cover large surfaces with more product, so you have to be methodical about application but can get a beautiful and completely dry finish if you know what your doing. For faster applications, the G3 is awesome, and you can get a wonderful application and finish. If you're doing a higher volume of tanning where speed matters.For my clients who want to immediate beautiful and a completely dry finish, for a photo shoots or clients who've gone straight to the beach and play volleyball, and are willing to pay a little more for me to spend more time using the Revolution, They always can't believe how amazing and natural they looked. But when a higher speed but quality application matters, the spray patters and finish the G3 gets awesome results.HOWEVER, when you need to actually learn the versatility of this airbrush. It was made to do a lot, getting closer vs further away, adjusting the spray pattern AND adjusting the flow based on how thin or thick your product is, increasing your PSI (Air pressure).Literally 5 minutes, just playing around with it. I have sprayed clients in their living room with the G3 using a sheet behind them, and beautiful results and no clouds to worry about. Just saying

This is my workhorse gun for muraling. Can’t do without it. Great for finer detail and large coverage of paint. I have several and will purchase again.
