I stand at 6 foot three 300 pounds a big dude. I’ve gone through two previous rockers that both rated 300 pounds or better they both failed within a couple weeks. I spent a little more and purchased the Amish rocker which testifies stable 600 pounds and more into my six months with this rocker and not so much as a creek not so much is a noise not so much is a pinch works as good as day one I should’ve spent a little more in the beginning and that I would’ve avoided at workInto my six months with this rocker and not so much as a creek not so much a Creek or noise that can drive one body so if you enjoy rocking as I do, don’t waste your money, go directly for this bad to the bone 600 pound plus beautiful rocking chair guaranteed to calm your nerves

Exactly What I was Looking For!
My Amish heavy duty chair was exactly what I was looking for! It was perfect as an addition to my living room. Very well crafted, sturdy, built to last and well stained. For the price, I must admit it was a little more than what I wanted to pay for. However . . . comparing my chair to other rockers in well known bulk stores, mine came out well ahead in terms of quality craftsmanship. Putting it together was a little challenging but doable for the average tinkerer. I did go to Kohl's for my seat and back cushions. I'm so glad I did! I'm a guy at 6'3" and 239 pounds. I knew that I needed cushions that were thick and wide. Found them; placed them on the rocker; and completely satisfied with my purchases. This comfort investment was well worth the effort.

Nicely Made
This rocker is very comfortable with our without cushions. I appreciate the rolled seat front - it doesn't hurt the back of your legs. The back slats are wide and flat so you're well-supported there as well. It does require assembly, but well worth the price.

Amish made Rocking chair
It is a very good sturdy chair. Made very good. Easy to put together….my 110lb daughter in law put it together! My only complaint is with FedEx who delivered. They put it on the road next to my mail box instead of bringing down my driveway to my porch. It could have been easily stolen.

Great looking and large enough, but has some strange angles that prevent real comfort
First of all this chair is built really well. If you keep it treated (I reseal all my cedar every March) then it's going to last forever. It is a fine piece of furniture that looks really nice. It was easy to put together by myself (bad back and all), and easy to tighten up.I love rocking chairs and always wanted a nice one for my porch - this was my pick. It rocks smoothly and is large enough to fit a really large person - no cutting off circulation to my legs. I discovered that I already had some chair pads that exactly fit this rocking chair from some old lawn furniture. The problem - I sit in the chair and I am held at an angle just a few degrees off from being comfortable - it's a little weird. It puts a small amount of strain on my lower back I am not expecting when sitting. I have a cedar bench that doesn't do this - so it's the chair. I tried putting a chair pad onto the rocking chair and one problem is solved while another appears - now the back is pushed too far forward. This is frustrating.I may eventually find or make something that fixes this "angle" problem, but for now I have a really nice looking extra-large rocking chair that will last forever that is slightly uncomfortable. Sigh.

Sturdy and comfortable
Wow!!! This product is really solid. I bought this as a companion piece to the Amish bench swing I got last year. It took me about an hour to put this together by myself. I do have severe arthritis, so use that as a barometer. It's not really a two-man job All you need is a wrench. No issues to report here. The chair comes in five pieces, and is nicely packed. No shipping damage. They include 18 heavy duty bolts and nuts to secure the pieces. Happily, all of the pre-drilled holes lined up almost perfectly...a little nudge here and there was required to get everything right, but that was easy enough. I would recommend a socket wrench for an easier assembly. The instructions are straightforward, but not world class. The picture on the sheet was not the exact chair in the package, but the pieces went together just the same. You will need some room to do this project. I found the most difficult part was installing the back rest to the seat. When built, it has some heft to it. The chair itself is comfortable and roomy. The wood itself feels like there is a light coating of protectant applied, but the overall appearance is of a nice natural wood.

Bought for baby’s room
My husband and I purchased this for my son and his wife’s new baby. The quality, instructions and beauty of the chair is absolutely amazing!! Sturdy and will actually last them a life time. They are using a stain and pillows to match the baby’s room
