Smells GREAT! Easy, great Value, and they freaking LOVE IT!
I reluctantly try new dog or cat food for my pets. But lately my Boston Terrier Giggles has been having skin issues and has been ordered to lose weight due to a knee problem. She isn't over weight but the vet wants her lean to give her knees as much rest as possible. This sent me searching for food options. I thought that with this mix yourself product I could add more water and give her more in her belly so she'll feel full. The same principle as drinking a glass of water before a meal.Luckily Giggles isn't allergic to Chicken so I tried the Chicken flavor, Force, first. It is awesome. Plain and simple. They love this food. My other Boston Terrier, Rabbit, inhales food but with this I have to use a puzzle bowl to slow him down. The best part is obviously the high quality, pure food ingredients they use. But for me, the best part is the smell. NO MORE STINKY DOG FOOD! Dry, Force smells like a packet of chicken soup or Thanksgiving. The Beef Grain Free, Love, smells like Apple Roasted Prime Rib. No kidding. I decided to get the grain-in Beef recipe for my non sensitive Boston and my older Chihuahua who has no teeth--he was a rescue--and he only eats soft food now.Mo, the Chihuahua gags on water and throws it up so hydrating this little 4lb dog is a chore. But with Honest Kitchen I can make a soup out of his food and he gets much better hydration without gagging!Every flavor of the dog food I have tried has been a 100% hit in my home. The Grain In product is even a better value than any canned food I would feed my dogs before--like Blue for example.Feeding my dogs is a pleasure not a chore now. No more holding my nose or stinking up the frig with a half used can of dog food. Make exactly the amount you need each time. I have on demand hot water but when we went on a trip, a microwave cup of water is warm enough in 45 seconds to mix into the dry. Easy. Images included are of Love, the Grain Free Beef dog food: Image 1: Dry in bowl Image 2: Right after water is added Image 3: Three minutes later. I choose to add a little more water than called for for rehydration. Often you can see whole pieces of vegetable, fruit and other bits. One last bonus? Less stinky on the business end and less farts. My goodness how amazing. Walking the dog is even better now too!Thank you Honest Kitchen for making a product I feel good about giving to my family of pets. And just in case someone is thinking it--no, I was not asked or paid for this review. It is from my heart.

Healthy Happy Dogs!
Our dogs are doing beautifully on Honest Kitchen Grain Free Beef as part of their overall diet (we top it with a variety of cooked meats, poultry, and vegetables, liver/giblets, eggs, fish, etc). Unfortunately we no longer trust MOST commercial dog foods, even the premium brands, due to the harm we’ve seen them inflict. With Honest kitchen the dogs smell good, look great, and are happy, active, and playful. Plus they love it! Better to invest in nutrition now than illness later on.

Great food my dogs love!
This is a great option for those that used to cook for their dog for health. My dogs love it and I don't worry about cooking for them anymore. We auto buy every two months for 3 dogs (10, 18, 15 lbs).

One of the best dog foods out there and comes in many varieties if your dog has allergies.
My dog loves this food, and she is Miss Picky. I'm trying to see if she has a chicken allergy (again) and she's been eating the grain-free beef variety. She loves it! She comes to get me and asks for dinner now. This is a great food for older dogs whose teeth aren't the best any more, because you choose the consistency. Andi loves the turkey variety, too.Be sure to buy the grain-free versions of The Honest Kitchen. The grain-inclusive varieties are heavy on peas, which dogs don't tolerate well and which provide zero nutrition. Cheap fillers. A four-pound box of THK will last my dachshund six weeks. She also eats Farmina grain-free N&D kibble, which I leave out for her. She has a secret life at night while I'm asleep, and she likes to eat her Farmina then. It's a great food, all varieties of it, and it comes in several varieties too, which makes avoiding allergens easy. Andi eats the wild boar and apple variety. Their canned food is also excellent, but unfortunately any canned food gives my dog diarrhea. My dog also gets home cooking when it is to be had. Variety is the spice of life! But, even while I'm cooking, she comes in and begs for her Honest Kitchen dinner. She's still able to sit up and take a little nourishment when the home cooking gets ready.I would recommend all grain-free varieties of The Honest Kitchen to anyone. It isn't practical for a large dog or for three or four dogs unless they are small or medium dogs. But my dog loves it, the food agrees with her, and we're able to avoid chicken completely this way. The Farmina I mentioned is the top kibble made, in my book and in the eyes of most of the members of a dog food/nutrition group I belong to on FB. I'd recommend Farmina to anyone, too.

Real food
The media could not be loaded. I would give 5 stars if it wasn't so expensive. I feed 2 large dogs 2 cups a day and it adds up. I spend about $300 a month. But they love it. I feel good knowing it's human grade food. I sometimes make a batch of chicken, rice , veggies and add to it to help with cost. My dogs are so healthy and at their perfect weight. No tasteless unhealthy brown nuggets. Try it...I'm sure your dog will thank you.
