The Good:Absolutely love this item.Makes a perfect gift item. Bought 3 so far, more to go! I wish they would create a gift bundle with some more Gillette products.The Bad:Pricing needs to be closer to GBP 25.

Gillette are simply THE best & THE only shaver I use. Effortless shaving at its best. As a man who shaves his head every other day these shavers are the only ones for me. No one else even comes close. Thanks again Gillette for an amazing product!!!

First the packaging. It is superbly presented. A beautiful and well crafted box pleasant to the eye. However, from the inside, removing each piece of the kit is almost an impossible task. The base is easy to take off, but the cartridges are impossible. If you don't want to break them apart, you should take them off by pressing the sides.The machine. The razor is well built and beautifully designed, but... and this for me was important. The body of the razor is not entirely metallic, just the upper part is made form metal, but the bottom side is plastic with a shinny-chromed finishing, but not metallic whatsoever. I will buy this razor again, but, the half plastic half metal construction was a little bit disappointing.

Much appreciated gift I gave over Christmas. Heard good reviews since. Box is very nice and smart if you’re looking for something with a bit more of a statement for a gift or for yourself than just your regular plastic packaging.

This is a large presentation box in a navy blue and chrome styling. I was quite surprised by how big the box actually is, the height and depth defined by the size of the 200ml shave gel, but the width is for visual styling only. In fact one corner of the lid is cut off with a chrome styling as there is nothing underneath except the spare blades. Still, as a gift it's quite simple and masculine albeit with a lot of wasted space and plastic insert.The shave gel is normal Fusion 5 gel but in the limited edition blue/chrome colour scheme. The five supplied blade refills (one already on the handle) are in the standard Proshield yellow colour while the handle and stand are black rubber and chrome. The stand is chunky and solid with non-slip feet but slightly pointless. FInally the handle has a retro and simplified styling. It's nicely weighted but of course it's the blade mechanism that gives the shave.Proshield does give a good shave of course but for me the standard Proglide blades give just as good a result and lasts about a week longer so is better value, though value is not generally a phrase associated with blade refills!

Good value and great shave. Bought for my Dad as a gift and he loves it.
