Pathfinder Bottle and Nesting Cup Set

I'm usually skeptical of "single walled" stainless water bottles. Most of them are rigid, but only about as thick as aluminum foil. From a survival standpoint, that ain't good. So, I was happily surprised when I received this and realized it was a quality piece of gear. SRO really put out a great product here. Not much to say about the bottle. It's sturdy and will hold up to many a fire. The cup shines, however. The handles are substantial and the mounting brackets are solid. It just FEELS like it will take anything you can throw at it. Honestly not sure I could ever wear this out short of actually TRYING to kill it, but hey, stranger things have happened. If they do, though, I'll be right back here buying another one of these. 👍

This kit has sent very me quite well for the time I've had it.

This is a wide mouth Nalgene profiled canteen cook set. It works very well, easy to drink from and fits a wide variety of Nalgene pouches that I have. Works much better in the side pockets on a packet than the old school canteen profile, without getting hung up on the pocket trying to take it out or put it back.

So I've been putting the puzzle pieces together for a while that is "finding my perfect cook set for camping and/or for my Emergency Pack". I stumbled across this set in a YT video and was pretty impressed by the thoughtfulness put into it so I figured I would try it out.Pros:-Water bottle nests into cup easily-The slots cut into the lid and the cup for a set of "Fish Mouth" spreaders as well as straining holes-The lid fits snugly onto the camp cup instead of loosely sitting on top-The exact sizing of the bottle, directly below the neck is 32oz-The Water Bottle has the ability to be hung by the spreaders as wellCons:-Graduations are printed on the camp cup instead of stamped into the steel-When attempting to use a standard MOLLE Water bottle holder(Which this kit is advertised as fitting inside of. Even sold with, in some cases) the fit is snug.I mean extremely snug. So snug that I wrestled with getting the kit in and out to the point where I was worried I would break the handles on the Camp Cup. A holder slightly bigger in diameter would make that much less of a headache. I still carry the kit, just in something entirely different from one of the MOLLE Style holders.There are two things I wish this particular kit included with it: The fish mouth spreader and the Water Bottle Stove (which I am sure there is a kit out there where it does include them both).All in all: a great one person kit, that isn't too heavy, is versatile, and with a couple of very small additions, becomes an even more versatile/complete kit.

This pathfinder stainless bottle and cup set is amazing. My cup came with a small pin hole in it, but Amazon went good for it, i wouldn't expect any less as they are always a pleasure to deal with. This is a single walled stainless bottle which allows you to boil and purify water in it during a survival situation, camping, hiking, backpacking or while bushcrafting. The bottle is a wide mouth version which allows for the use of a LifeStraw to purify your water as well, which is handy. The cup, which is much larger at 25oz. then its box store counterparts is also stainless and allows for the same capabilities as the bottle. The cup comes with a lid which most sets do not offer and is an extreme benefit if you plan on cooking with it. You'll need to buy a fish mouth spreader to use as a pot hanger for the cup and bottle for use over an open fire. I have included photos to show the cup also works with standard Nalgene bottles as well as the 40oz. Klean Kanteen. Don't hesitate, just buy this set and you won't be disappointed.

Great bottle I carry it with me every day all day. It does dent up pretty easy on a drop but that just adds to the character of it. recommend.

I was eyeballing this water bottle for a while and I’m glad I bought it. You DO have to tighten the cap pretty tight to get it not to leak but besides that it’s great. I recommend buying a neoprene cover for it that fits Nalgenes and that really helps keep your water a lot cooler in the bottle. Besides that, this thing is great!
