Works for me
I purchased these it as a package based on the Frequently bought together recommendation.Recover Tactical HC11 Universal Accessory Holster for The CC3H and CC3P Grip and Rail System… $59.95Recover Tactical CC3H 1911 Grip and Rail System No Modifications Required, Goes on in Under 3… $32.50Aimkon HiLight P10S 500 Lumen Pistol LED Strobe Flashlight with Weaver Quick Release for Glock… $29.29I had some issues with the light and the holster. Without the light the holster worked great. Easy to holster and remove and the retention lock works like it should. With the light mounted it was very difficult to holster and every time I had to fight to get the pistol out and when it came out the light would turn on. I changed lights and ta da it worked like it should. So the light is a problem not the holster, it works great with the different light. Over all I’m satisfied with holster. I would recommend it.

Great Holster
Works great on RIA 1911. I installed their rail system that is made for this holster. The rail system is great and clicks into this holster with no issues. This holster also works with my walther .22lr 1911 although doesn't clip in because it doesn't have the detent that the rail attachment system has. But never the less works great.Initially has a clip on both sides to grab the gun. I removed the one on the waistband side to make it easier. one push from the index finger and its out and ready to go. Very smooth. It clips on a belt so you can take it off easily. better than my leather holster that needed to be fed through a belt. This is easy to put on and take off. It is also comfortable. you can adjust the angle of how it attaches so it can conform to you.

very nice holster
very pleased with this holster and it works well with the CC3P grip with an old M3 tac light attached. I have the active retention and it locks the pistol in and lines the finger up nicely during draw. Only issue is I wish it came with a belt attachment instead of paddle which I hate. But no problem, just head over to Recover Tactical and pick up whichever attachment you like. Overall, would definitely recommend.

Loving it so far
Honestly don't know why people are upset about the trigger guard. It clearly doesn't connect to each other because then how would you fit a light or laser on it? You wouldn't be able to then. And the trigger guards just needs a little breaking in that's all. Also at first glance I thought this was a belt loop holster but it's a paddle holster. But with how much space there is for the holster to stay on the belt I don't see and issue with it.

Nice Holster!!
"Like a glove!!" Fittings good butttt you'll definitely need to break it in a few times with your draws. I have a light mount on the bottom that hits it ever so often and triggers my light switch on but I kind of like that feature now. So if you have a mini baldr mount it'll trigger the button just saying. All in all the "active retention" is nice too, it takes time to get use to but if you got trigger control it helps for where your finger belongs after the draw. I have both active and passive retention holsters from recover tactical and I say I like this one better when I carry. Also to mention the slip on feature is a nice tight fit too, whether your wearing jeans with a belt or tactical pants.

Decent but still needs some tweaking
**** UPDATED REVIEWI got the replacement parts for the grip / rail system that is to work with this holster. It seemed to help a bit with the 2 bolts/nuts now being used to keep the grip/rail together. However, the holster still has issues with my TLR-4 as those two "tabs" are in the way of a smooth draw and holstering of my Colt commander pistol into this holster.Without the TLR-4, it's smooth. But that's why I got the grip/rail system, to use my TRL-4 light/laser (which I like a lot).If they re designed those two "tabs" on the holster, make them less thick, I think this would work better. The light/laser gets hung up on those tab. The TLR-4 has a large thumb screw that gets caught on the tab of this holster and sometimes the toggling switch to turn the light on / off gets hung, but not so much. I might be able to swap the thumb screw for an allen head type, not yet sure if it will help, unless it's super low, flush with the rail mount of the TLR-4.As far as I can tell, I could cut the two tabs off completely, as it seems it'd be easy to do as they are flexible due to them being attached by a rubber piece to the main holster's body. Without that rubber, those tabs would not flex out of the way to allow a mounted light / laser to be holstered or drawn. If attempting to make the tabs thinner, that'd be more challenging. It may be in vain since the tabs have a concave portion that would not allow you to thin it up enough. Not sure why they made the concave portion, other than it has the HC11 stamped into it.I am going to try to grind, smooth the ends of those tabs, it might help, but not until I try to get a low, flush bolt to use in place of the thumb screw on the TLR-4.But as it is, it's a bit of manipulation when holstering and drawing my colt commander with the TLR-4.It is not an ideal setup if you need to draw due to a bad guy.I have a soft case that works much better than this one (and only 21 bucks, with a mag pouch too). I'll have to continue to use it until I can get this one to work better, If I can at all.If I had it to do over again, I'd just get their grip / rail system, and bypass the holster unless I had a super thin, tiny light / laser setup.I honestly do not know how anyone with a TLR-4 can use this setup. Maybe they have flexed the rubber of the tabs so they are not stiff?I am at a loss as to how this truly functions smoothly with that light on the rail.** ORIGINAL REVIEW:This is a difficult item to rate. In reality for just a holster, its about a 3 to 4 starIf using it as a holster with a light or laser mounted on the rail of the pistol, it's about a 1 to 2 star. Here's the deal:Colt Commander, with the ReCover Tactical CC3P Grip (I could not install the 2 bolts/nuts as they were missing from the package of that grip/rail but for the testing of this holster, it was not required).I mounted my TLR-4 light/laser onto the rail of the pistol. It fit good. No issue there. But when I managed to fit the pistol with TLR-4 into this holster, the pistol then will NOT come out of the holster very easily.I was not even wearing the holster on my belt, just holding it with 2 hands. It took 2 hands to remove the pistol while holding that holster.I could not imagine trying to do this while the holster was on my body. But, the holster still has a bit of issue even without a pistol with light mounted. The pistol will slide into the holster without a light mounted to it somewhat easy. When removing the pistol, I could not do so, using the release button.I noticed the inside had a small tab thingy catching the left of the grip (seems like it's by design to do that). The tab thingy on the right side is depressed by the release button, no issue there. What I had to do is move the paddle away from the holster, then that tab thingy on the left, could depress out away from the hole of the grip rail, and thus the pistol could be removed by use of the release trigger. Not sure how this would be OK if the paddle is against your body, the holster against your pants, that left side of the holster would be pressed against the device that would then NOT allow that tab thingy on the left to be depressed. The pistol would not release easily with one hand. Maybe you'd have to tilt the holster (swing the bottom away from your body?). Not sure, but it seems like a flawed design.I could just file that left tab thingy away, then no more issue with that (it is only plastic). But, would the only tab on the right (the by design pistol release button's tab) be enough to hold the pistol in the holster? Sigh.. decisions decisions.. Why do I have to engineer this stuff to work??Now onto why I got his bloody holster..I wanted to have my TLR-4 mounted to my Colt pistol and have a holster to use it with. It will fit into the holster with the light mounted onto the grip/rail, although it takes a bit of finesse, not too bad though. It's releasing the pistol. The TLR-4 catches on the two rubber things (large tabs) that are at the edge of this holster (they are at the trigger area).I'm not sure if those rubber tabs should even be there, not really seeing them hold the pistol (it's more of a trigger guard to avoid getting to the trigger while the pistol is holstered). I'm tempted to cut them away or to trim them..I'd like some feedback from the maker of this holster about fitting pistols with lights (like the all popular TLR-4).If fact it stated "Compatible with virtually all rail mounted accessories". No way this is true, unless you don't want to insert and or remove your pistol with one hand.If only using for a holster, you can get cheaper methods that comfortably will hold your pistol safely (just velcro and snap strap) and also provide a spare magazine pouch (I got one, it holds my pistol with TLR-4 kinda tight but it does fit). With a cost of 22 bucks for that, this holster at 60 bucks seems more like a novel headache and waste of coin. Why don't they make it to fit the popular TLR-4 light/lasers?I did not see anything in the listing description about what light/laser to ONLY use it with.

Gun will go in but it definitely won't come out
Yes this holster is supposed to work with the Tactical rail system from the same manufacturer. The only problem is. The "trigger guard" does not work with flashlights. Plain and simple. No matter how much I loosen up the screws on holster. It simply will not release the gun without the flashlight getting caught and hindering the pull of the gun from the holster. I tried six different flashlights. And all six had the exact same issue. If you cut the trigger guard off, I'm sure that this holster will work perfectly. But that defeats the purpose of having one on there.
