Excellent product, exactly as advertised.
I am a beginning hobbyist. I've made a few knives and this is the best blade yet. Very sharp. Very happy.

Best value.
Best value in knife blanks. The scandi-grind is absolutely peerless. At once the cheapest and sharpest knives I know of.

Morakniv from Sweden
This is a handy little stainless steel knive from Morakniv in Sweden. They’ve been making knives for over 100 years. This knife has a 3.9” blade and hidden tang, so you can make the handle as long as you want. This is a 5” piece of Sika Deer antler, with base. It came from a shed in central Texas. I have made eight various Mora knives, and have been delighted with every one. They are a great value; super sharp right out of the box, hold their edge well, and resharpen quickly and easily. I highly recommend Morakniv.

A work of art
I ordered this blade blank two days ago and today it is in my hands!I'm even more impressed than I expected to be!Morakniv offers instructions for an easy way to make your own beautiful knife handle on their website, and there are countless ways for you to do it besides the way they show! You can do a sandwich method with wood or micarta scales, a block of wood or other material for a turned handle, a stacked handle, whatever you like. They give you the dimensions you need for your scales and a list of materials and everything on the pdf file on their website. The method outlined is the way I am going to put a handle on my blade blank, it involves two pieces of matching wood for each scale and an inner spacer piece in which you trace and cut a hole for the tang, then epoxy to hold them together and finally, shaping to taste.I am going to use a piece of walnut wood for the spacer and olive wood for the handle scales, which I ordered from Woodcraft; Etsy also has awesome options for handle material and I almost went with karelian birch for my handle material. The sky's the limit here! I'll probably be ordering another blade blank to do that karelian birch handle idea because now I can't get it out of my head!Side note, I have a lot of Moraknivs that are already finished (Companions, Kansbols, a Garberg) but all of my Moraknivs are stainless steel, which I really enjoy. The blade shape of Moraknivs is very practical and they are my most ergonomic family of knives. I wanted to try a carbon Mora blade, as I have heard incredible things about them. I figured, since I will be using a carbon blade for wood carving why not put my own wood handle on it? And here we are.On to a review of the fine craftsmanship of this Morakniv No. 1 Classic Carbon blade blank. I was filled with delight when I took it out of the envelope, this blade is more finely polished than I expected, it is almost a perfect mirror finish! And yes, it comes scary hair popping shave-sharp! All of my Moraknivs have come very sharp from the factory, but this blade blank seems to have a little extra attention to detail which is above and beyond what I expected. The value for money on this piece is hard to overstate. With the simple handle construction method they provide on their website, and the low cost of these blade blanks, you could bang out a ton of gorgeous pieces really effortlessly.I will update this review once I've put my handle on, but if you're a Morakniv fan and want to experiment with customizing your own beautiful tool please don't hesitate to order this blade blank! It's not just a novelty, it's a real piece of equipment and a work of art.

Quality knife blank
Great knife blank! The blank shipped with a sharp edge and a glossy finish. My only initial complaint was that the manufacturing process that made this blank left some burrs and rough edges that had to be filed smooth, but other than this it is a perfect blank for anyone interested in getting into knife making.

Very sharp
Very nice size for a pairing knife. Very sharp quality seems good. Added a deer antler handle. This was to replace one I made 20 yrs ago for fur trade reenactment.

Giftable for a hobbyist
More knife blanks are a great value for the hobbyist who wants to get creative and finish their own knife.Be warned: this blank is very sharp. Tape the edge well before working with this blank. Also, this blank is carbon steel, and will rust. Stainless is available if preferred.
