Works great. Easy to prime, there’s a button on top to let the air out if it gets air bound when you refill it. Never had a problem even with sub-freezing grease temperatures. I replaced the fixed line with an Alemite rubber hose and lock-n-lube coupler, on both of my grease guns.That’s right, I have two. And right now I’m ordering a third.Don’t flinch at the price, it will last a lifetime instead of 2 tubes of grease like that Chinese knockoff you’re considering.

I ordered this based on the fact that it’s made in the USA and my past experience with Alemite. Great looking grease gun and appears well made. I’ve farmed and run equipment all of my life (69 yrs old) and replaced an Alemite 500 gun that is worn out after about 30 years of use. Upon first use, I put a tube of John Deere grease in the new gun and couldn’t ever get it to stay primed. This is the same grease I’ve been using in my old gun with no problems. I changed to Paragon 2000 grease and have the same issue..... won’t stay primed. VERY FRUSTRATING when trying to grease equipment and spend more time working on the grease gun than it should take to do the entire servicing. I’ve had the gun long enough that Amazon’s return window has passed or I would gladly take my money back for it. I know the gun gets good reviews and maybe I got a faulty one, but mine isn’t worth anything and I would not recommend it.

After researching, found that this is one of the only grease guns made in USA. Not all Alemite guns, just this one. Guess that explains the high price. You know, the cost of paying workers a living wage to turn out a quality product. Anyway, so far, very happy with the function, fit, and finish of the gun. If you find the gun is too long to get in some areas, get the locking swivel, not a flexible extension. This style gun requires two hands to pump leaving you with nothing to keep the flexible extension/ coupler firmly attached to the zert, and grease will go everywhere but where you want it.

Did not come with rigid extension or coupler. I am returning as I either get it all or I don't want it. For this money I expect everything to ship

It's a grease gun and not cheap. You can buy others that fail/ don't work well. This one works perfect. Used it for 3 months. Love it.

the grease gun for any mechanic that demands his tools last and function.

I thought i was ordering a silver one...not red. I was actually directed by Alemite to order this model because i wanted a silver grease gun.
