Q: Does this work for the Napoleon Ascent Series

Q: Does this work with wood burning fireplace?

Whoops, my husband handled it. Yes we do have it. Just got a couple of weeks, but seems to be working well and doing the job. So far, so good.

Q: My fireplace has a double fan, two 10" cages powered by a single motor in the middle. Should I get two 10" fans? or will a 14' fan move enough air?

This 14" fan will not replace two 10" fans. It will move much less air. Less airflow can possibly make your fireplace overheat and shut down until it cools enough to restart itself. Keep in mind with these fireplace controllers have several thick cables going to and from the control box. You will have to mount the control box and somehow find a way to route the cables to the fan, thermostat and power, which is not terribly easy if you're picky how things look. Hope this helps

Q: If the temperature reading is from the thermostat next to the fan what is the desired temperature to have in the screen? Off, mine sits at 73, 7 110.

You've got a bigger problem if your thermostat is near the fan as it should be roughly across the room. You will get wider temperature swings and I don't know if there is an answer to your question.
