Fantastic product, comes through when fish tape doesn't
This is a great invention. Not terribly cheap, but for what they do it's worth it.Fish tape is pretty good I guess, but the extra rigidity of this certainly helps to distinguish what you are bumping up against when the sticks are in the wall. Kind of hard to tell with fish tape if you ask me. These are flexible, but strong. According to the specs, 4.5" is the min 90 degree turn.I'm rewiring my house currently, and have a significant need to fish wire. This has proved to be a really superior product to using the old fish tape if you ask me. Time is money, and this has saved me a good deal of time.It is hard to distinguish from the pictures, but you get three 5' sections. You can screw them together for a total of 15' if needed. It also comes with two tips. A 'bullet' shaped tip, as well as a j-hook tip. The j-hook tip has proved to be pretty useful for pulling wire back. Make a "J" in the wire to be pulled and hook it to the j-hook tip, tape it, and pull. Works well.In my experience, this has come through when fish tape has been a real pain (tape binding up in the walls due to stuff like nails, wood, whatever else is in there). Or, the tape being pushed off from where you want it to go due to obstructions, and you just can't hit the target. This seems to get the job done when using standard tape can be frustrating. I've had to improvise in some instances, like using a J-shaped piece of ground wire to hook the pole and direct it where I want, but you can make things work.-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------UPDATE - I'm finished rewiring my house. These have been worth every penny for the time and hassle it saves me. The above review applies just as written. These are so far superior to fish tape, it's hard to make any sort of comparison. If you wanted longer than 15' , I guess you could always buy another kit .

Thinner then usual
These seem to be thinner then the usual glow rods, they tent to bend more so with using 3 of them together itβs kind of useless.

Needs Tartar Sauce.
Looks like it will thread with my Southwire sticks, and they could if I really need them to, but the thread count isnβt the same. :(The sticks are very fine: lateral movement will involve a bit of oscillating/whipping. Longitudinal movement will be fine with an ability to enter wall boxes and down walls.O-rings meant to prevent accidental disengagement of attachments are anemic: added a spot of Blue Loctite to be sure.SuperGlued bottom end cap of storage tube because that will pop off wrestling the tube from the back of the truck.Yeah. These will work fine. Unfortunate that manufacturers have yet to standardize thread size/count.

Work great for short times, then break
I received my first set and was very happy with it. then while using it, what made them stronger, made them weaker. They snapped where the metal meets the fiberglass. They were replaced and I started using the second set. Before too long they broke. This time Amazon had me contact the mfg. I do so and sent them pictures as they requested. I have never heard back from them. I have tried multiple times to e-mail them with no success.

Good sticks
Not sure what they mean asking for ratings on "for working out" and "stretch". These are fiberglass rods so stretch isn't in the package. I just don't understand "for working out" at all. They are thinner than a lot of other brands but I like them more because they are more flexible. Very good tool.

Awesome.I had some other-branded ones that used to leave little fiberglass slivers in my hands or on my arms. This is especially troublesome because you are often working in close quarters where gloves are a nuisance and you almost have to slide these things through your hands as part of using them. These rods are smooth as silk, strong as steel, and just the right combination of stiff and flexible.I've never been disappointed with Greenlee stuff and these are no exception.

Good product
For the most part, these sticks are really great. I would love to see one more section included though, as I can't quite get from basement to attic with fifteen feet of stick. Other than that they seem to work really well and are flexible enough to be very useful. I have to remind myself to always turn them clockwise when I'm trying to hook a fish tape in the wall though, or they will come unscrewed.-------------------------------------UPDATE: I just finished entirely re-wiring two old houses. These sticks are worth their weight in gold. Had to upgrade my review by another star.

Good Choice for Running Cable
Using these saves you popping off every ceiling tile along the way when running cables. Also have used in a wall. Make sure you screw them together tightly so you don't lose a section. Note that if you have to go across an open area (about 12 feet) these are not rigid enough to make it across without a 4 or 5 foot drop in the tip. Two tips are handy and the glow-in-the-dark feature might help as well. Recommended.
