Seems to work very well!
Reading a few reviews had me concerned over Bluetooth Connectivity. I have found this to work fine for me under initial testing.Sound quality is a huge upgrade over the factory stereo however is not as crisp as more expensive aftermarket options at higher volume levels (but this is to be expected).Installation was easy and very much plug and play. It is important to install the CAN Bus cable correctly to ensure that your Bluetooth will work.Build quality seems okay. The units faceplate is visually a cheaper plastic that the factory head unit but it doesn't affect functionality. Some of the buttons do feel a little flimsy and I'm not sure how they will hold up over however many years. Again, this can be expected at this price point.Still in early stages of ownership. Will update my review if needs be but so far, very happy!

10 minute job
Never changed a car stereo before, very simple. Great sound quality over the OEM single DIN. Bluetooth takes a while to kick in, but once connected no problems

Retro looks for Mk IV Golf with modern functionality
I’ve wanted a better system for my Golf for sometime but wanted to keep the car looking in period and didn’t want to spend a fortune, I didn’t want a large screen, this looks original but has more modern functionality, I particularly wanted to be able to connect my phone for calls and music and have a SD card for music too, the unit has all these with a CD input, USB, Aux 3.5mm jack input on the front, a phone can be connected with Bluetooth too. The unit doesn’t come with printed instructions, I would have preferred these being older, but a link to a Facebook page, to be honest I found that a bit useless but it was simple to install taking about 10 minutes, I just removed to original Radio and CD units, plugged the adapter harness in that it came with. My Golf has steering wheel controls, I was expecting these to work but they don’t, I suspect I may need a different adapter to make this work, I haven’t had the time to investigate this at the moment as I quite like having this.Operation of the unit is really quite simple and logical, sound quality is comparable to the original VW unit. I have connected my iPone via USB and Bluetooth very easily. The Micor SD card slots into the front, this seems to have a limit of 8GB but with MP3 this isn’t a problem. The only slightly negative thing I have to say about it is that the radio doesn’t auto retune as you drive any distance if the radio frequency changes, though its quite simple to nudge the tune up and down buttons. It would have been nice to have instructions but not really a show stopper.Overall I am pleased with the unit and would recommend to anyone wanting to keep the car looking period but have more modern functionality.

Bluetooth doesn't work
Firstly have to say setting it up was fairly easy and the sound quality is pretty good. However the main reason I bought it was for the Bluetooth which doesn't work it connects ok but doesn't play any sound, also USB doesn't work either. Not impressed as I have to use a headphone jack to jack wire just to play music from my phone which isn't ideal as most phones are moving away from headphone Jack's. Also there's no information online that explains how to fix the Bluetooth issue. Reading some of the other reviews turns out I'm not the only one having trouble with the Bluetooth function, so if you're buying be wary of this.
