I gave this as a gift and the recipient loves it. He said it works like a dream and frozen ice cream is not a problem anymore.

Nothing worse than trying to scoop super frozen ice cream. Normally, I would run a scoop under hot water to help with that issue. Saw this heated scooper and had to give it a try. I will say this ice cream scoop is amazing! Heats up fast and scoops ice cream with ease. I wouldn't allow small kids to use this since it does get hot. One star gets knocked off for not having an on/off button. Maybe the next iteration will.

This scoop is amazing. As soon as I got it, I tried it on some very hard frozen ice cream. It actually works very well.

As I get older I find it really hard to scoop hard ice-cream, as I just don't have the strength that I had back when I worked in an ice-cream shop years ago, so I ordered this heated ice-cream scoop from Amazon Vine. The scoop comes with a charging cord and what I call "stoppers" to put in the charging port of the handle of the scoop.Once fully charged, you simply pick up the scoop and hold the handle and it starts heating up and goes up to 149 degrees making it super easy to scoop hard ice-cream. The scoop is designed as any regular ice-cream scoop and weighs about the same as well, making it easy and comfortable to use. When done, I simply put the plug in where the charging port goes and wash under warm soapy water. I am not sure what the orange rubber thing is for, maybe for it to rest the scoop on? Regardless, this heated ice-cream scoop gets 5 stars from me.

I love the concept of this but it doesn't stay warm long enough and if you scoop too much you have to wait for it to warm up again

The media could not be loaded. Best ice cream scoop ever. It feels at first a little weighty in the hand but you adapt to it. This is a heated ice cream scoop with a rechargeable battery in its handle. It comes with a "USB-A to USB-C" charging cable that you connect to a charging block or wall charger outlet. Note the charging port on the ice cream scoop is located at the bottom of its handle, adjacent to a LED display which shows the scoop's heated temperature when it is actively heating. When you hold the scoop handle in your hand, the heating mechanism activates and continues heating up to a max of 158 degrees F. If you remove & keep your hand off the handle, after 40 seconds the heating turns off. Softer ice cream scoops easily. If scooping hard ice cream, heat the scoop to a higher temp and slowly scoop. Don't continue to hold ice cream in the scoop or it will melt it. The instructions provided are very good. You have to be very careful washing the scoop by hand; never in the dishwasher. No total immersion in water. Best to insert the charging port's plastic plug to prevent any moisture from entering there. The scoop is water resistant to a point. Included in the box are several replacement charger port plugs, the charging cable, and a silly silicone wrap-around character (not mentioned on the box or in the instructions) that I believe is a prop to hold the heated scoop off the counter. After you clean the scoop and if you want to store it back in the box, make sure it is deactivated-OFF (note LED on scoop handle base should not be lit) and let it cool down first. I tried the scoop, worked like a dream. Read and adhere to the instructions and you may find the scoop is the one you always wanted.

Wow! It blows me away how great this is at getting the perfect scoop from even there hardest ice cream. We tend to do a lot of ice cream experimenting at our house with our ice cream maker. It's sort of a basic ice cream maker with a fairly weak turning arm; so usually the result is a harder than most ice cream once we pop it in the freezer to harden it up. This has been able glide through some of the most solid ice creams that we've had in the freezer with ease. It has a good weight and is simple to use, though, it's a little too easy to use in some respects. I would prefer some way to assure it stays off in the form of a physical button. Otherwise, it's pretty amazing!
