Tough & Easy Patio French Door Lock Single Handle 'Box Section' High Security Deadlock Sliding Fix Bar New 'STRONGUARD Model', White (STSing1)

I bought a Patlock device for my patio doors but that only works on 2 handled doors. Found this for my dining room door which only has 1 handle. Really easy to fit in 5 minutes tops and it even comes with a metal drill bit. Drill 2 holes screw it on and you are done. It is gloss white so quite discrete and can be completely removed.Very sturdy device and super easy to use. It’s comes with a padlock but we use it without. Absolutely genius product. So good I bought another for my back door and 1 for my daughter.

We have a pair of patio doors, but a single handle on only one of the doors. Most patio door locks I have seen work on two handle systems, so I was glad to find this one. You need to be careful to fix the bit that goes on the door in the right place, but it was easy enough, and works a treat.

This clamp is very sturdy andI feel confident it would deter burglars.But only if fitted correctly otherwise it is a bit loose particularly on a one handle arrangement with only one anchor point.It's essential that it is horizontal and that it rests firmly on the handle, so try fitting it thus.Mine didn't so I made I made a wooden piece shown in the photos that wedges between the clamp and the handle with a slot in it for the peg.When padlocked in place, the wood can't come out and the clamp is solid with NO movement for levering it off.Very pleased with it.

I encountered a problem fitting it due to distance of handle from door itself making the anchor about 1/4 inch too short to hold device in firmly place. Will act as deterrent. Would be helpful to have different lengths of anchor.Would be simple to fit if anchor had been correct length for my single lever door handle.

Arrived on time , easy to install, look good on door , and work as discribed on web site , very happy with this purchase, and shown my friends them

Nowhere to hang the lock when not in use and make sure your door and frame are flush

Took forever to arrive but thats another issue.The lock is very sturdy and is easy to fit, although the instructions were clipped back to front so initially confusing. Biggest issue for me is there is no padding and the potential for damaging the door handle is inevitable. It a large visible product and is already a magnet for my grandson to play about with. I have fitted self adhesive pads ( bought enough to do half a dozen locks from the pound shop). I am surprised that the manufacturers have not considered this in the product design.

I installed this patio door lock for single handle yesterday and I must say what a lovely design it is. Very easy to install, all you need is to drill two very small holes on the other side and it even comes with a drill bit size 3. However, my drill bit broke whilst drilling the second hole, but I had my own and carried on. Just make sure you mark the area where the screws need to go.Overall a lovely product, I can't fault the quality for the price. A1
