 I wash my hair once a week and noticed that my drain was getting clogged the more I washed it. I was in need of something to catch the hair that still looked aesthetically pleasing. I really like this one because it is stainless steel and it matches all of the other parts of my bathtub, so it does not seem out of place. I will say that it looks much bigger in the picture. It is small, but it is perfect for the drain and no one will ever notice that the stopper is out, unless they want to to take a bath. It came in a small box with some instructions. The setup and installation was very easy. It came with about 5 different black rings to ensure that it fits properly into my drain. I simply found the right fit, put it around the bottom and placed it in the drain. It fit perfectly without any problems! Both the top portion of the catcher and the small holes around the cylinder ensure that hair will be caught there before going down the drain. I like that it comes with a third precaution, which is the rubber ring that catches anything that was not caught by the first 2. The removal of the hair is me simply pulling it out and taking off the hair. This is much better than me having to get Draino or pulling all the gunk out bit by bit with tweezers, which is very time consuming.

It looks weird with its unconventional shape-its not a snuggly fit thing for a sink hole but - I have to rely on the other peoples review and try to gamble my $12.00-well I think I found a winner. The "thing" has a snuggly fit rubber or washer that is surprisingly tight fit that will not make little stuff fall into the sink hole. Now -I would say this is very creative. At first the thought of pulling it out to clean it , felt yucky- but its not so bad afterall-just make sure you wear a gloves-more hygienic and Wella!!! run through the hot water while pulling the stuff out of it-easy peasy.

Bought this to replace the TubShroom,and so far I'm pretty happy.The holes are more than the TubShroom so it is not easy clogs: but you really have to clean it after EVERY shower or the next person will be stuck with slow drainage. In theory, that means it catches hair better than the TubShroom, but I have no way to confirm that. The main thing I like about this metal version is that it's so much EASIER to clean than the TubShroom: gunk doesn't cling to the metal.

I’ve used a number of drain hair catchers before this product, some of them are “as seen on tv”. This is by far the most effective product, it’s good quality, easy to use and stylish. I highly recommend it!

It fit right into the drain. 4 different sizes of the o-ring to choose from. A little higher then I need but it's ok.

Its great for catching hairs. I bathe dogs often so always feel needs to have a drain blocker to catch dogs furs. However, I tried a few silicone styles but they are not good and easy to move away when i shower. This one is prefect block the drain wuthing moving. Highly recommend!!!

you do have to clear this quite frequently - because it does such a great job. water screams through it when its freshly cleaned, and it catches all hear. easy to clear out and put back too. Big fan.

I previous bought other brand of silicone drain catchers "XXX Good Grips Silicone Drain Protector" but they failed to work/stick in the sink after few months. This time I bought this "Drain Hair Catcher Strainer Stainless Steel, Mifanstech Patent Bathtub Drain Protector" I feel I made a good choice because it does fit and stay into the drain of sink, won't get rust, and catch hair easier. Good job.

Together, my downpipe has been blocked. Since I used it, my hair was all sucked together, and I don't have to worry about the hair blocking the water pipe.

This catches hair but it slows down the draining and your shower will fill with water.

Easy to use and works as advertised.

Good product to catch hair in the bathtub, too big for vanity.

Haven't had it installed for very long but it seems to do a very good job of trapping my Fiancés hair without slowing the drain down after 1 shower like the others I have tried.

I have a LOT of hair and have never found anything that will catch it, until now. I like that you can change the size with the different gaskets to fit your drain, and I love that...

The material and quality of this item is good, but it did not work for my tub. The biggest ring fits my tub drain perfectly but makes the water super slow to go down the drain.

Tried initially on the tub drain, it was draining slowly. Tried on the sink drain, it works better.

Works as advertised. Be prepared to clean it out almost every day.

This little gadget is so easy to use! It comes with 4 rubber ring in different sizes, it should fit most sinks.
