Purchased for a friend, they enjoyed it.

Mic and Dan are best mates. Two guys planning on getting away together, but when tragedy strikes their plans are thrown up in the air. Or FUBAR’d. What happens when deep down feelings bubble to the surface is the meat of this depressing and disturbing drama. Actually quite good but no Latter Days, hence the three stars. No subtitles either. But at least it’s in widescreen. At only 96 minutes the film doesn’t hang around for too long. And for a film about gay love / sex, there’s some female nudity. Plus the film opens with some lesbo porn. Soft core mind. The F word is used loose and fast. And there’s some drug use and abuse. There’s also a scene of forced sex, but it’s nothing like what happened in Skoonheid (Beauty). All in all an entirely watchable film, but not really much to shout about. Still it’s better than Monster Pies. Beware there is some gay material but nothing too explicit or graphic. Maybe two, or three, separate scenes of man on man action.

As soon as I picked up this dvd, I started watching. In my opinion, real classy gay movie. Well put together, well written

Great film,not to be missed.Its about friends,who go through real life advents. {drink/drugs and sexual encounters}A friendship that's put to the test through feelings for eachother which leads to gay rape,which deep down they reallywant.{one doesn't want to admit but the other takes the lead.}

Ce film est un cocktail de deuil, violence, drogue, alcool, sexe, suicide...Le véritable intérêt c'est que c'est bien filmé, mais l'histoire est très lourde, glauque, et j'étais content que ça se termine ! J'étais à deux doigts de m'endormir.Enfin, peut-être que d'autres aimeront... ou pas !

Ein wirklich sehenswerter Film aus Australien, der mit herausragenden Darstellern und einer ergreifenden Geschichte begeistert. War äußerst positiv überrascht und kann ihn nur weiter empfehlen.Einziges Manko der DVD: Salzgeber kriegt es nach wie vor nicht hin, ein Wendecover anzubieten. Jungs, wann geht ihr endlich mal mit der Zeit und verschandelt die schönen Cover nicht mehr?

Die Teenager in diesem Film sind eher junge Männer und vom Aussehen her nimmt man denen nicht mehr so ganz ab das diese noch zur Schule gehen. Das ist aber eines der wenigen negativen Eindrücke welche ich beim Betrachten dieser DVD hatte. Die Storry ist durchaus tragisch und gut gespielt von eines der Hauptdarsteller, der sich starke Vorhaltungen macht, Schuld am Tod seines Bruders zu sein. Sein Coming Out zieht sich durch den ganzen Film und wie in fast allen Amerikanischen Filmen wird auch hier der Drogenkonsum damit in Verbindung gebracht.Etwas Befremdlich für mich!! Ich nehme mal an das nicht alle jungen Schwulen in den Vereinigten Staaten Drogen nehmen.Das die beiden Freunde gegen Ende des Films sich doch noch näher kommen lässt auf ein Happy End hoffen - man wird jedoch Teilweise enttäuscht. Unterhaltsam - tragisch und mit einer etwas übertriebenen Darstellung was die Vater - Sohn Beziehung betrifft. ( Unvorstellbar das ein Vater seinen Sohn so zusammen treten kann) .Alles in allem aber ein sehenswerter Streifen.
