Amazing single piece stainless steel bottomless portafilter
I received this bottomless portafilter yesterday and it DID NOT disappoint me! It feels very high quality, it is lighter than my original ECM spouted portafilter, but still has good weight to it. This should outlast my ECM espresso machine, because it is a single piece machined stainless steel product, super solid. The handle does not get hot at all, barely warm after keeping it for 40 mins in my espresso machine when it’s on. It locks in pretty tight. Feels great in hand and pleasant to use. This is my first time using a bottomless portafilter and I was worried about spraying water, but the shot turned out so well. Very happy so far and recommend it to anyone!

Sits Flat. Helps Tamp Stability. Once Piece Construction. Looks Cool. Gets Hot. Handle Has Edges.
My espresso machine is a big block of stainless steel and I thought the CafeSing stainless portafilter would look more at home. In addition, tamping is always a bit of a juggling act so I figured the portafilter that could sit flat would tamping a less of a chore. It does, in fact, look more at home in the group head but there are reasons why this can't be its resting place. The portion of the portafilter that surrounds the basket is cut away. I'm not sure if this has a function but it does look unique. Because the portafilter lies flat, the handle has a strange ergonomic. The top of the handle is round but the bottom is ground flat. It's not uncomfortable to hold... just unique. What does knock off a star is the heat transfer. As mentioned, the portfilter is feels like it was cut from one piece of metal. As such, the handle gets hot if you leave the portafilter in your group head. It's hot enough to remind you not to leave the portafilter in the group head... but not enough to burn you.I have a Profitec with an E-61 group head. With the baskets that came with the machine, the CafeSing's fit is a little tight. YMMV, but I'm sure that every different group head/manufacturer will have varying levels of fitment.

Heavy Premium Portafilter Sits Perfectly Flat on Countertop (see photos)
I never thought I would find a better portafilter better than my Normcore, but this one is just a little bit nicer. It is very deep. My 20g Weber Workshops Unibasket doesn't come close to reaching the bottom. (see pictures) You could put a much deeper 28g basket in and I doubt it would reach the bottom. This means you can tamp on a flat rubber mat or even on your countertop but I wouldn't want to scratch my marble. I love that it sits flat on my scale and fits very tight in my MiiCoffee Apex.I don't love the branding that's etched in (see pic) but it is on the bottom so you won't see it unless you flip it over and look. I do love that it doesn't come with a basket. Anyone serious about coffee is using a premium basket. I think this looks better than the webber portafilters, and it's quite a bit less expensive so I think it's a great deal. The stainless mirror finish is really nice. You won't be disappointed.

Genuine quality with the weight to back it up
Wow, this portafilter is truly next level. The flat-bottom design is a game-changer, allowing you to work anywhere on your counter, not just at the edge like traditional portafilters. It sits perfectly flush with all parts of the portafilter, ensuring consistency and ease of use. It’s also significantly heavier than an average portafilter, which makes it ideal for use directly on a countertop rather than a tamping station. (It will topple over if you try to use it on a tamping station) The handle’s weight adds to its stability and durability, making it feel premium and well-designed. The finish is stunning, with a sleek and futuristic look that stands out. This portafilter fits perfectly on my E61 grouphead (I use a Rancilio Silvia). It does require turning in further than the OEM portafilter to prevent leaks, but once properly secured, it works great. If you’re in the market for a flat-bottom portafilter, this is the one to get!

Stunning portafilter holder
This portafilter is truly a piece of art - it is beautifully formed and brilliantly polished. It perfectly complements shiny espresso machines. You get the portafilter body only so no filter basket is included, but anyone stepping up to purchase this fancy portafilter is already going to have their own preferred baskets anyway. I absolutely love its look, and it fits and functions as expected; however, its artistic design introduces a usability flaw - because the entire handle is sculpted with a flat bottom you cannot easily pick up the portafilter if you set it on a flat surface (i.e., countertop) because there is no way to get your fingers under it. So you need to make sure the handle is hanging off the edge of your prep surface a bit. One nice thing is that the portafilter is made entirely from metal and the head heats and retains heat well, but the handle itself never gets too hot to touch.

I think this portafilter is going to outlast me!
The media could not be loaded. The build quality on this portafilter is excellent. The solid stainless steel construction not only gives it a premium feel but also makes cleaning effortless. I really liked the flat surface feature as it allowed me to tamp directly on the table without needing a separate stand or mat. The bottomless design is also great for monitoring espresso extraction. The handle has a nice ergonomic feel, though it’s slightly back-heavy. It wasn’t a major issue, but something to note. It worked perfectly with my Lelit espresso machine, and as long as you already have 58mm baskets, they should fit without any trouble. Overall, it’s a well-made, aesthetically clean portafilter that feels built to last.

AMAZING PORTAFILTER holder, heavy!
This is such an awesome portafilter holder. First off, it's beautiful. It's one solid piece of stainless steel polished to a mirror finish. It's the most beautiful looking naked portafilter I've ever seen. The cutouts allow you to fit any size basket you want, and as long as the basket doesn't protrude from the bottom this will sit perfectly flat on the table.
