I cut down a lot of overhanging branches some were 6" thick and 20ft long in my garden which has a lot of huge trees , this extending chainsaw is brilliant slices through the branches like butter , there's a lot on the market which are cheaper so I wasn't sure which to buy , all I can say is this chainsaw is well worth the money , batteries that seem to last a very long time and there's 2, also spare chain , I thought it might be heavy but it's not , I have a long reach hedge trimmer which is very heavy , so I'm pleased about the weight , and using it as a hand saw to trim the branches before putting them through the chipper , to be honest I can't fault it .

I was a bit apprehensive about this purchase - I wasn't sure if it would stand up to the claims. However, I needn't have been - the unit has a robust feel and does the job really well. Battery life is much better than expected. The charge capacity lights are a really useful feature. The oil dispenser is also a really handy feature. The biggest cut I've made so far is about 15 cm (6") - the saw did not struggle with that one bit.When cutting, make sure you try position the branch up against the near edge of the saw - that way you will avoid any judder and poor cutting. I've watched a view video demos of the kit and some of them show improper (and potentially dangerous) use - be careful.

So far so good. This tool comes with two batteries which currently last about 3/4 of an hour each being a chainsaw with a good quality blade provided the blade is turning. The saw is cutting and this one will easily saw wood up to 8 in in diameter. The pole is robust and I'm surprised by the performance of the tool given that it is relatively inexpensive. I'm getting older now and this tool is so much lighter than my petrol driven pole saw that it is a pleasure to use.

This is a good product and works well. I have given it a good test today with some trees that came down in the storms early on the year.It will cut the small branches up to about 4-5 inches thick but it is not designed for felling or heavier work.I use a full 16in chainsaw for that along with this devices for the smaller and more difficult branches to reach.I was pleasantly surprised with its performance and battery life.So recommend it for the money and its use.A bit annoyed that it is now on special offer that would have saved me £30!!!!But it works and does what I wanted it for.

Very good value. Battery charge lasts a long time and chain cuts through branches and brambles with ease. Not sure how I survived without one of these before .

For the price this mini chainsaw is good enough. Its not high powered like the expensive ones but they're all more than twice the price.If you have a lot to cut this isn't for you. For the average gardener, it's plenty enough.There's a little kick back when the chain first makes contact with the branch, so you have to lay the saw down with intent and not gently. It didn't cut well with small branches - about 2 cms. Very rough cut with jagged edges.I'm very surprised at the quality of the pole. Its strong. I haven't used it yet. Will be interesting to see if it's difficult to cut using the pole when you've less control over the blade.

Very useful tool for the garden. Good for trimming large hedges and small trees. The weight is manageable. Quality is acceptable for personal use.

Great for minor diy tree pruning.
