Very Solid And Works Well
I bought the ShadowShot, having bought other deadeye products in the past. It feels very solid and, frankly, is a lot of fun to use. Setup is easy and straightforward. Mechanically, it’s quite interesting - there’s some kind of air restrictor that lets you fire the arrow and slows it down. The bow string doesn’t have a super large draw weight but I still found it quite immersive. Pulling back on the bow string between shots takes some getting used to but is fairly effortless once you get into it. And once you do it’s hard to imagine not having some kind of accessory like this. Skyrim is loads better because I have this accessory plus it made me pick up In Death for the first time in years.

Okay
This or bow was easy to set up. The build quality is decent. One of the seams worried me because I couldn't tell if it was coming apart or not, otherwise it seemed like it was holding together fine. Fit and grip wise the bow is to big for me. I already struggle to reach all the buttons on the controllers to begin with, adding an outer casing makes it impossible. Now for someone that has big hands, or at least bigger hands than mine, like my husband, he had no problem holding this but if I remember correctly the seams made it uncomfortable for him. Either way, it's a give it a try and find out. If you are into or and love using a bow there's not much to lose.

I like it better than the Wonder Fitter Artemis
As my title suggests, I am very interested in a bow and arrow peripheral for VR. I got the Wonder Fitter Artemis bow and like it very much, but it has pretty limited application with currently only one app supporting it natively (Tiny Archers, with which it does work very well, but still quite pricey for only one game). It's also quite heavy and not comfortable to use for long playing sessions. This came up in my Facebook feed, and once noticing, I knew I had to try it. It's much easier to assemble than the Artemis and therefore much easier to break down and store in less space. It also weighs much less. This is cheaper because it has no electronics to pair with a headset, but the components still feel quality enough (carbon fiber (?) and 3D printed). As far as the claim of working with all archery games, well, yes and no. The issue is how well it lines up with the bow in VR. I've tried several with very mixed results. It works the best by far with In Death: Unchained, which is my favorite game, so that makes it worth the price for me. I wanted to try it with QuiVR but I'm having a runtime error problem playing it (edit: I've fixed my game, and can confirm the bow works as well as it does with In Death. Still very challenging as I can't seem to get enough distance with my shots. Again, a learning curve.) It worked well enough with Bardo. But Tiny Archers and others seem either out of the question or require a lot more experimentation because it doesn't come close to lining up, which is a huge handicap in the game. Even in In Death it takes retraining your brain and building some muscle memory to keep your movements straight (which is also a big handicap in situations that require quick action).I'll keep working at it though, because there are not a lot of other options out there. Yet (hopefully!)

Lightweight but still tiring
Comfort hasn't been the best. the bow can be used without a handstrap but this means you have to grab the bow + controller with only you pinky and ring finger which gets tiring really fast.I have an AMVR handstraps but the fit its not good. The 3d printed controlled holder that the bow comes with is detachable, so there is a posibility of 3d printing a new 'version' that fix this.Even if I'm complaining I still think this is the best bow in terms of price and comfort. I think those cheap Alixpress handstraps would be good to use with it?

The accessory I didn't know I needed.
The ShadowShot VR Bow is a massive upgrade for VR archery games. The lightweight fiberglass and carbon fiber build feels real without being heavy. I thought it might be "too light" but honestly, I'm glad it's not any heavier. My arms aren't built to be. an archer. the ambidextrous design works great for lefties and righties alike. Calibration takes a little time, but once it’s locked in, it’s worlds better than fake holding a bow in VR. The string-pulling mechanic is super intuitive, making shots feel smooth and accurate, and the immersive gameplay is next-level. You still look like a goober shooting a fake bow in realy life, but at least those around you know what you're trying to do.Pros:• Realistic Build: Lightweight, durable, and feels like the real thing.• Ambidextrous: Perfect for lefties or righties.• Great Mechanics: String-pulling system adds to the realism.• Wide Compatibility: Works with Quest 2, 3, 3S, and Pro.• Immersive Gameplay: Big boost to accuracy and fun.Cons:• Setup Time: Takes some getting used to, but it’s worth it.If you’re serious about VR archery, this is a no-brainer. Once you’re dialed in, the ShadowShot makes VR archery games way more immersive and accurate.

Sweet bow
The ShadowShot bow accessory is lightweight, durable, and easy to assemble, making it great for longer VR sessions. Its compact design allows for easy storage, and the quality materials give it a sleek and sturdy feel. While it doesn’t include electronics, it works surprisingly well with several archery games like it says. Though some games may require adjustment to align properly. The bow string’s light draw weight is comfortable, and the mechanics are engaging, adding realism to games. For its price and versatility, it’s a solid choice for VR archery enthusiasts.
