Vantrue E360 ACE is a first class panoramic dash cam with excellent resolution and IR lighting. A must for parents with young drivers; it allows monitoring their real time driving habits. It replaces my working older Vantrue that has a 170° field of view. So why the update? I am 80 and was T-boned by an uninsured motorist 12 years ago and I still feel the effects. I want the best video I can get in case it happens again. The E360’s front and inside cameras capture 210°+210° views delivers 5.2K 360° panoramic images thanks to unique cutting-edge image dynamic stitching tech. No more blind spots; no more question of whether the other driver did a full stop or not. It also includes a rear camera with 165° field of view at 2.7K.If I had a youngster who was just starting to drive I would require the use of the E360 panoramic view and audio for the first 6 months to a year. It would encourage safe driving and discourage the dumb things that I did when I was that age. Giving friends a lift is major distraction at that age and lead to tickets and accidents causing injuries and making your insurance rates rise.I wish I had the Panoramic cam back when we would drive to Banff, Florida, Williamsburg, and various national parks; it is such an improvement over 8mm camera and digit video cameras for convenience and image quality. Yes, new video cameras can do better, but I don’t want to lug around lots of things and the E360 Ace is hands free once you mount it, allowing you to be present in what you are doing.Another feature I like is the enhanced resolution, up to 5184x1944P. It offers multiple resolutions and choices on the field of view for the front and inside cameras each of which have 4 IR lights for crisp images even in low or no light environments. The front IR lights only kick in when using parking mode. Image quality is greatly enhanced thanks to advanced STARVIS 2 and HDR technology.Temperature extremes are pretty much a non-issue thanks to the use of supercapacitors in the camera instead of batteries, ensuring greater safety, better resistance to extreme cold and intense heat, and a longer lifespan. No more need to bring the camera in because of the temperature.The Handheld Action Camera really can also serve as a basic action camera. It comes with 9:16 portrait mode for easy sharing online and comes with the handhold mount/4 hour power supply and a tripod.All the other features are a great bonus. 5GHz WiFi & Dual-Sys. GPS Logger means faster downloads and accurate location and speed data; nice. The include app works well on my smartphone and on computer it allows me to zoom and edit; very nice. 24/7 Buffered Parking Mode would be useful for trips; good but I usually park in a garage.How easy is it to install? I’m 80 and it was 41°F when I installed it. My hands were cold but the instructions are good and it comes with the needed parts including a small plastic crowbar and cable clips. Just look at a handful of online videos and be gentle and patient and careful around air bags; attached are a couple of photos. Clean the windows inside and out. I did opt for a tube of adhesive (Goop) to hold a flat plastic disk for a GPS because of the substantial frits, the black dots on the windshield by the rear view mirror, to assure a solid bond. The 3M peal and stick firmly attached the GPS mount to the disk and the e360 easily slides into place. I have a sun roof and so I strung the excess cord length back and forth for the full width of the rear window before I tucked it in behind the head liner.Don’t make the mistake I did. Buy a new, name brand 512GB microSD card with U3/A2 or higher transfer speed and reformat it regularly. My old one couldn’t take it anymore and the camera fought me until I installed the new one. High end dash cams need high end microSD cards.I would like to have had some videos on the Vantrue site to walk me through the set up and use of the unit to help luddites like me. Most younger folks are used to tech like this. Nice unit and a reasonable price given the quality and all the features.

The Vantrue E360 is my 3rd dashcam that ive purchased from Vantrue. Previously I've been using a Vantrue N4 dashcam in all my vehicles. So far I can say that I am very satisfied with the performance of this camera compared to all my previous dashcam. Upon opening I can tell that this camera is built solid with a nice weight to it and the material is very sleek and has a smooth finish. I can really tell that Vantrue did not cut any corners in building this dashcam. Going through the setup upon first setting up the dashcam was very easy and straightforward. Vantrue has always made setting up the camera a very easy and friendly user with no complication at all. The camera is a touch screen, and I can say that this camera touch screen is very sensitive and very accurate to the touch with no issues at all which made first setup very easy and quick. One other thing that I love about this dashcam that the previous Vantrue didn't have was that they added wifi. I feel that this is very important to have this option because it allows you to go into the vantrue app on your phone to view and download any footage (download app). I have not seen any other dashcam videos online that puts out as clear footage as Vantrue dash camera yet. This is one of the main important things we need to have in a dashcam. knowing that we are getting the best footage. What I also love about this new dashcam is how Vantrue incorporated a 360 degree view footage compared to their previous cameras. This was a huge game changer and this is what sold me the most. The camera lens has a fish eye view or Panoramic view which is a game changer. It's crazy not only this is a dashcam, but you can use this as a 360 cam with the mount/tripod ( sold separately) which the battery life can last up to 4 hours! You will not get this from any other 360 action cam on the market. This Dashcam does not come with an SD card or the backup camera (which is not needed since the camera is 360) so you would need to purchase one separately. I do recommend getting and purchasing a hardwiring kit as I've installed one in every car of mine that way It will continue to record when the car is parked just for extra safety precaution.Vantrue has been dominating the dashcam market for years now and I always highly recommend others if they have never owned a Vantrue product to really invest in this one. It is priced very well. The price you are paying for one is well worth every penny. I never had so much confidence until I owned a Vantrue dash cam. It has saved me in multiple accidents from a hit and run and when the other driver was at fault and they were trying to lie saying it was my fault. Driving with a Vantrue Dashcam in your car knowing that you will always be protected.

After watching all the videos online of people getting in accidents because of stupid drivers or people trying to scam other drivers, I don't know why I didn't buy a dash cam any sooner. I really like this camera, but it does have one drawback. I like that I can choose between just the front/rear view cameras or the 360 view, but the quality of both are not good enough to read the license plate of a vehicle in front of you or driving past you. Other then that I like the camera and the fact that it comes with Qty.2 windshield mounting kits which allowed me to transfer the camera from my car to my truck. I then bought a 3rd vehicle and was able to go online to find the company and order additional mounts. If I remember right, I believe the items came from China and took a few weeks to receive is all.If possible, I wish this company made the exact same dash cam with higher definition cameras or a better frame rate that could capture a clear license plate number when I zoom in on the videos and pictures it takes. I like the camera so much that I would gladly buy a new system and pay a little more money for that upgraded camera feature.Overall it is still a better system then most and the 360 view shows much more than other dash cameras do when people pull up or pass you. I read reviews about the license plates being blurry before I bought it, but I was buying the camera because I wanted the 360 view. I took one star away because of the blurry license plates when zooming in on pictures. Give it better cameras or frame rate and it'll be 5 stars from everyone.
