Compatible with Steam Deck
This is a great SSD enclosure. It will boot windows on the steam deck and it also allows you to charge while you play. It includes a mag ring so you can attach it to your device for a very clean look. I love it!

A Surprisingly Useful Upgrade for iPhone and Handheld Gaming
== Overview ==At first, I wasn’t sure what I’d actually use this for. It looked cool, but the purpose didn’t jump out right away. Then I installed a 2TB Western Digital NVMe and started testing it across a few devices. Now it’s in daily rotation. On the ROG Ally, it worked instantly as expanded storage for my Steam library. No setup, no hiccups, just a ton of space that was ready to go. It also supports pass-through charging, which means I can run turbo mode while staying powered up.What really impressed me was the MagSafe support. I snapped it onto the back of my iPhone and recorded ProRes video straight to the drive. That workflow is a dream. I was able to edit the footage right on my MacBook afterward with zero transfers or delays. The build quality is great, and even after multiple long gaming sessions, I haven’t run into any slowdown or heat issues. This is one of those products that quietly becomes essential once you start using it.== Pro/Con ==Pros:• MagSafe compatibility for direct iPhone recording• Instant recognition and performance on ROG Ally and Steam Deck• Pass-through charging keeps power and performance maxed out• Great build quality with no overheating• Turns any NVMe into a fast, flexible external driveCons:• Doesn’t explain itself well out of the box, but proves its worth fast

Almost A Perfect Gaming Companion!!
If you are looking to enhance your gaming experience with extended storage, this portable NVME enclosure case is all you need. This little gadget is almost a perfect gaming sidekick. It has a slim design and is also MagSafe compatibile. You can easily slot in an NVMe drive of supported capacity and enjoy enhanced transfer speed on your portable gaming console. It also supports 100W passthrough which allows you to keep your device charged up without much hassle. It makes transferring or saving games a breeze and its super compact size allows me to toss it in my bag for using it later. While it works with my Steam Deck without any issues, connecting it to my TV has been a bit of a challange. You will need a USB-A cable to make it work, which feels like an oversight. Manufacturer should have included a USB-A to USB-C cable. Also keeping your NVME drive cool is a major issue given the size of this thing and it will reduce the lifetime of NVME drive as well. Still, it’s a solid addition to my setup.

Overheats when using for dual boot on steam deck
Heat sink is not enough to prevent overheating. When using to run a dual boot of Win11 on steam deck, the drive often overheats during heavy access.

Fantasic idea and fantastic design let down by subpar quality control and flaws
I'd been looking forward to this device coming out for about 6 months now - it seemed to be the best way to run an OS off an external SSD on a steam deck and I was all for it.I planned to run windows off of it and play games that don't run on linux, simple enough right?Unfortunately the reality was that it was very finicky to get recognized by my deck, so I was constantly unplugging and plugging it in to get it to boot. I tested this with spare cables only to get the same result, so it was definitely the device (and this was proved conclusively later because it completely died on me.Another thing to be aware of is that it runs VERY hot. As in can burn you in 5 seconds hot - which also leads to the rubber magnetic things getting detached from my steam deck. I don't understand how this part of the design was ever greenlit because that's a massive flaw.In addition, the headline feature on this device was the built-in capacitor, which in theory would have allowed me to plug in power and unplug it with the passthrough port. How it actually behaved, strangely enough, was that I could plug-in power without issue, but if I unplugged it windows would immediately crash. So I basically returned it because my unit was finicky when I first received it and completely died a couple days later. I'm going to try out the Qwiizlab capacitor enclosure when the refund clears in the hopes it doesn't fail on me like this one did.I really hope they fix the flaws with this model because it is still a really well designed enclosure but as it is it's a tough recommend, although I'm sure if my unit wasn't a dud I would be more positive towards it.

Easy to use and works great!
I picked up the GENKI SavePoint Mini Gaming SSD Jade Crystal to boost my daughter’s Steam Deck storage by 2TB, and it’s been a fantastic addition. The MagSafe feature lets it snap right onto the device, and with the 100W passthrough charging, she can keep it connected and still charge the Steam Deck at the same time.Just a heads-up: this is an enclosure only, so you’ll need to grab an M.2 2230 NVMe SSD separately. Installation was straightforward, and once set up, it provided seamless additional storage. The build feels sturdy, and it matches the Steam Deck’s look pretty well.Overall, the GENKI SavePoint has been a solid solution for expanding the Steam Deck’s storage without adding much bulk or hassle. It’s a great pick for anyone wanting more space on their handheld gaming device.
