SHIMANO(Standard Brake Cable Set Black [Y80098022] Load/MTB

All good as should be expected with shimano but the outer was only just long enough for my back brakes on my 28" 3 speeder. I wouldn't want to cut a bit off for the front brakes it's do-able I guess though. Please make sure you have the proper cutters, you can't just use any cutters no matter how sharp, they can crush the metal on the outers. Quite a lot of cutters come up on the amazon search for brake cable cutters that are not suitable and will damage the cable so make sure you do your research as you haven't got much to play with x

Pretty much a novice when it comes to servicing/repairing my own bike so wasnt sure what to expect from this cable and the low price. Very pleased with the end product. Very good quality , strong cable and thick housing. Very easy to install and cut down. Could instantly feel the difference in braking performance and power. Very smooth cable action and just an all round sound product. Only downside is they dont give you enough cable end caps and the housing cover caps. I messed up one of the cable end caps so now i dont have spares for when i have to change out the rear cable.

I had a cable break, so I replaced both cables with these. Slightly thicker than the original generic cables. Easy to fit, feels much more solid when i brake, confidence inspiring. Rock solid, don't think I will need to replace these.

Great quality cables which you would expect from the Shimano brand. Can be used for MTB or road bikes as each cable is fitted with both nipples. Everything supplied for a perfect setup.

Neatly packaged - One front brake cable, one rear brake cable and one long outer casing.The inner brake cables seem extremely strong - Cutting them to the correct size with lineman's pliers was a bit of a challenge, which is a good thing. Easy to fit. These essentials look and feel great.
