Fun design and decent parts- wish it came with Minifigs though
This is the second RV/camper van set that I've build in the last few months- the previous one was actually a set based on the RV from Christmas Vacation- and I can safely say that I like this build a whole lot more. So, this is definitely NOT an actual LEGO set- the parts aren't quite up to the quality level that LEGO builds them at and it clearly uses parts that they don't make (LEGO has staunchly resisted making/using double-sided plates to far). But the part quality wasn't all that bad- there are some points at which it's difficult to get the parts to connect (mainly when you're trying to make connections of a lot of studs, usually with large plates) but on the whole the non-LEGO parts have been improving in quality and this set is evidence of that. The instructions for the set aren't bad- they're nothing really outstanding, but there also wasn't that much in the way of steps where they would really have needed better detail or alternate views so there's not really much to complain about either. Thankfully the parts were organized into 4 sets of bags- I've had too many non-LEGO sets lately not bother with organizing the parts which makes it quite annoying with any decent-sized set. There are a modest number of stickers (which I didn't apply), but a) they don't look to be too bad to apply and b) it still looks pretty good without them. The set does not include any printed parts though, so there are some pretty small stickers you'll have to apply (like on the pizza slice). The design of the set itself it pretty good- I think they did a really good job of capturing the essence of a classic camper van, from the interior and sleeping area up above the cab to the details on the top of the roof. The van has 2 light bricks on the inside which is nice. In addition to the van itself there are a number of little vignette builds to highlight the camping theme, including a fire pit, grill, table, and surfboard to name a few. They did a good job on these little builds IMO- honestly the biggest thing missing from the set are figures to occupy it, since it's very definitely Minifig scale... I'm sure kids would have fun playing with it, but much more fun with figures.Overall, this is a pretty good set, especially when you consider that it's a nearly 1,000-piece set for around $30 (as of writing this review)- a similar real LEGO set would easily be over $100, probably solidly more. It really needs to have figures included, but if you have any Minifigs already that is probably less of an issue.

Fun but fiddly
This was a fun and detailed build, however a lot of the parts/structure are a bit fiddly and takes a lot of careful work to get it assembled. Not the most durable set, so definitely not good for the younger kiddos.

Pissed
I thought I was buying a Lego product & I did search for an indication that it might not be.I purchased it as a gift and I am extremely upset and disappointed that it turned out not to be a Lego product! I feel there was a huge deception on your part regarding this product. I will not buy another Lego product from Amazon. I was told the bricks are not the same quality as Lego and it was harder to put together. I feel dupt and misled.

Satisfying when complete
The build is more like a puzzle for following instructions than it is intuitive. Pieces aren’t symmetrical and if you end up with an extra or missing piece it’s highly likely you made a mistake. The Fitment s good and the pieces feel good quality. An adult will take a couple hours or more to build from start to finish. Instructions need careful attention to detail and no rushing ahead to build parts that aren’t explained in the steps.

The vehicle moves when tires are installed.
The instruction book tells you to put on the wheels during the middle of assembly, making it to move around. Instead being installed at end of assembly.

Fun Build!
I'm a building block collector and I really enjoyed the way this camping rv turned out. Some sections aren't as stable as I would have liked, but the instructions are simple and easy to read. The end result was so cute that I decided to enclose it in a display case that I had decorated just for this building block set. I love the way it turned out!

Fun RV build
I got this RV brick set for my wife, and she was excited to put it together. It reminds her of camping. The bricks are very Lego-like, and she had no trouble following the instructions.

DEFINATLY NOT LEGO
Complicated, poor design, poor quality bricks. This model is agrivating!Pros: Nice theme.Cons: Poor design, ...ie., the entire wall and roof structure is built on bricks that attach UNDER the floor structure. Those bricks are carrying all of the weight of the model. The floor structure is overly complicated, ...many little pieces make up the floor. You can see through the wheelwells into the interior of the vehicle, ...no interior enclosure. The forward over-cab curved decorative structure is hanging from the bottom of the upper over-cab structure, ...look at it wrong, and it will fall off.Did I mention how poorly the bricks fit together. Example: The bricks/cover sitting on the roof just sit on top of each other. A gust of wind will blow it apart. The bricks do not even remotely fit together properly.QUESTION: Why is there a swinging window between the living quarters and the drivers seat that can't open. Should there even be a window there. Most class "C" RV's do not have a window/wall there. This model is WAY OVERLY COMPLICATED and VERY VERY DELICATE. If you get it assembled, DO NOT PLAY WITH IT! (unless you glue the entire model together)! Also note: There are no characters/people in this kit.I have been building "LEGO" kits for over 60 years. This one is nothing near the quality of the LEGO products, and the recommended age for this is 6 years, ...if your child is an accomplished rocket scientist!
