Get out of the RCBS lube rut - Lyman's Orange Magic is here!
I've used RCBS lube, and two others in my RCBS lube/sizer for my cast 245gr. .44 mag, my cast 330gr. .44 mag, and my cast 200gr. .45acp for over 40 years and just dealt with their properties of being very hard to squeeze into the grease groves of my cast bullets, plus their drying out and chipping out of my bullets, plus the leading of my barrels which they only reduce, plus their high cost. But no more!! I found Lyman's "Orange Magic Bullet Lube". This stuff is easy to use when lubeing bullets, does not dry out and fall out of the grooves, and my barrels are totally lead free. After using it for about 6 months and on over 1,000 bullets, this product truly is Magic! No negative properties at all, and no leading. I'll never use anything else! I lube about 2 to 3 thousand bullets per year. This is the BEST lube, by far!! All of you old casters like me, take notice! - jump on this product!! Works even better when you heat it with your Lyman lube heater for about 30 minutes, then unplug it. Lubeing is no longer a job, it is fun and this stuff WORKS!!

Lyman Orange Magic Bullet Lube
I 'm usung lead bullets now. I don't have a sizer luber, so I lube each bullet by hand. The mould casts them close to slug test. Results good w no leading. So far I've only fired the pistol loads. Going to shoot the rifle loads this wednesday. Going to try them w/o gas checks (30-06, 30 Herret). So far I've loaded up 100 rounds & used about 1/5 of the tube. Heater not necessary, as hand heat seams to work ok. I just push the lube to one end of the tube and drag the bullet grease lands across the lube. If I shave off any lube during loading, I just put it back into the lube tube & pack it w 1 in dia steel rod

It's good stuff. I'll be shooting it soon so I ...
It came promptly, I put it in my Lyman 450 sizer and luber and went to work. It's good stuff. I'll be shooting it soon so I can tell you then how it works in a rifle. Does it cut down on leading, etc.

Make your own lube
Lube is quite hard, can be used without a heater, but won't fill well. Supposed to be low smoke, it smokes less than blackpowder, barely. What leading did occur was easily removed via choreboy. A stick doesn't last long, 4/500ish 9mm. Making a suitable lube is easy and cheap, done buying.

Great lube!
Works quite well and goes much farther than I thought. I'm using it on 180 Gr. .40 S&W bullets with a single groove. I get about 800 bullets done out of one tube of this stuff. Oddly, it doesn't look very orange in the bullet. I haven't shot any of the bullets yet, but I am convinced this is excellent lube.

Needs to be heated when using.
Good lube which needs to be heated slightly above room temperature to flow easily in my RCBS lube/sizer.
