Fun for hat day at school

I live in Arizona and I use a walker to walk to the stores in my neighborhood! The hat is a necessity for me. The use of the hat in temperatures in three digit heat usually like 100-125 it helps to give me hands free shade. That way I can keep both hands on the walker. Any one who has to endure heat should purchase the umbrella hat. Most of them umbrella hats are cheaply made. So you have to order multiples to ensure you will be wearing the hat for the entire summer.

I bought these for me and my three kids for a themed party. The kids are all under 10 and the band fit all of our heads. It slipped easily on hair, but the kids were constantly moving. The spokes came out and were pretty sharp but again...kids. This was the only time we used these so I don't have any long term use feedback.

Outdoor activities

We used these in Hawaii. We did a lot of hiking and picture taking. It would just rain off and on and you never knew when you needed protection. These worked perfectly to keep our hands free and kept us dry. These are easy to store when you don't need them. So much easier than an umbrella. We didn't use these in windy situations, but they seem to be sturdy enough for significant wind.

I saw this and thought I'd try it out. I was excited to walk in the rain hands free but this thing really does't keep the rain out as well as an umbrella does. It really doesn't protect your back or your legs like an umbrella, I was soaked by the time I got to work in the morning. Thankfully I keep spare clothes at home so I was able to make it through the day, no thanks to the umbrella hat!!!
