I have a bad habit of biting and picking at my nails. It's embarrassing and I wanted to stop. I got this kit and so far, no mail biting or picking! My nails are strong and much longer than before! I do better when I can't see how long they are. The gel cures under UV light so as soon as the top coat is done, I can go do things like scrubbing the dishes or gardening or cooking or giving the dog a bath and my nails stay pretty. I like the variety of colors. I chose to paint each nail tester with 3 coats, covering 1/3 each time so I could see what 1, 2 and 3 coats looks like and cured between coats. I took a sharpie and wrote the color code on the reverse. I ordered the HEMA free top coat and foundation coat set (white bottles) separately. They're for sensitive nails and I love them!Key points:- Use a thin, even coat for base, color and top coats!- Cure between coats- All coats are tacky except for top coat after curing. THIS IS NORMAL. DO NOT WIPE.- Use SPF on hands, fingers, toes (yes it works for pedis too) and wrists. I use a lotion style SPF 50 and wait 30 mins minimum before starting. The first time I didn't use SPF and my fingers, cuticles and tips of my fingers had a burning/stinging sensation when using the light. I watch a show on Netflix or Disney to pass the time.- I also bought a gel remover and liquid latex separately on Amazon (not beetles) because I hate the smell of acetone/nail polish remover. Gel remover works great but don't get any on your skin, it burns like acid. I'm not allergic to latex so this really helps my polish look clean.- This kit comes with a cuticle softener (great value and very helpful!) And a cuticle oil (I do better with lotion.) I had to wait 48 hours between my first cuticle removal and my first paint session.- The nails MUST be clean and dry. After applying SPF and waiting for it to soak in, take a rubbing alcohol wipe or a cotton ball dipped in rubbing alcohol and wipe each nail off. Then take one of the pink little squares and wipe off any dirt.- Shape your nails BEFORE you paint them.I have used the included nail art items however the only ones that stay on are the pearls for me.- Clean off any excess nail polish/top or bottom coats BEFORE you cure! I use the metal cuticle tool included to scrape away any excess.- The UV lamp can get warm.- If you use the nail art items, those metal tweezers (included) are your best friend!- Yes, the bottles are small but they will last you if you use thin even layers.- The odor is still present but very low considering the alternative.100% would recommend and would buy as a gift! It's a great starter kit for beginners!!

I was skeptical of this kit due to all of the reviews about contact dermatitis. I am a beginner and I've done 2 sets so far with no issue. I am still very vigilant of any signs of an allergic reaction and I cure for a lot more than the recommended time. I eventually plan to buy a stronger lamp.The kit includes so many products! I did end up buying a few more items like an electric drill, uv gloves and I'll be buying a flash lamp soon (I didn't know it's necessary to have the get x tips to stay before a full cure). I watched so many video tutorials and I am so happy with how my 2nd set came out. I did these almost a week ago and they are on very securely. I used the overlay method and that has worked great for me. I think this is a great kit for beginners. I also noticed that a lot of the people in the reviews with negative reactions applied the gel to their natural nail. I will only be using these polishes with tips.

Professional Nail Artist Here! DO NOT BUY THIS!I thought the colors were fun and I hadn’t seen other brands have some of these colors, mind you I’ve been a Nail Tech for six years and I’ve used cat eye repeatedly and multiple other brands, this one caused my client to have an allergic reaction and get a chemical blister under of her nails!!! And this has never happened in my six years of being a Nail tech! Bettles, about to catch a lawsuitt.

So many fun colors. Great starter kit. Love the look. One of the brushes fell off of its lid but that can happen. I am a little worried about all the reviews about nail damage and problems, but nothing so far. I have a friend who recommended these to me and she always has the best nails! So far I am so about it!

This is a great starter kit! The colors are super fun, and Beetles is a solid brand. The light is on the smaller side, but it works just as well. As for people mentioning burns, that’s something that can happen with gel polish in general — I don’t think it’s an issue with this set. If you feel a burn, just pull your hand out for a few seconds, wait until it stops, and then put it back under. Some people, especially with darker colors or thicker layers, can be more sensitive. I’ve had so much fun playing around with the colors, stickers, and nail art tools. You really can’t go wrong with this kit!

These nail polishes are amazing and I use them all the time and have no issues. My clients don’t have any issues either or skin irritation. I love this brand to start out with but also they have so many colors and are very affordable

I love the colors! They seem very close to what you see on the screen. I've used a few of them and they work great. Make sure not to put it on too thick otherwise it will take longer to dry. I will definitely be buying more of these.

I love it! I wish it came with instructions lolI've used it like 3 times since I bought it. The first time it started peeling within the week, second time I forgot to put the base on so it didn't last longer than a couple days. This last time I didn't skip any steps, and they've been on with no signs of peeling for 11 days now ☺️
