Great tasting bourbon
Lovely bourbon I bought this for my son in the states for Christmas it went down a storm. Amazon don’t deliver alcohol over her so my son can only buy what he can buy locally. A strange fact is that the Amazon uk price for bourbons is cheaper than buying locally over there. This little factoid impressed any number of barmen on a trip round the bourbon bars in Louisville

The Bourbon that started my Whisky journey
The bourbon that started me on my whisky journey. This was the first bottle I ever purchased to feed my curiosity. It is so easy & friendly to drink and great tasting, not your typical bourbon. Slightly on the pricier side for a bourbon here in the UK considering what else you could get for around half the price but nonetheless would be happy to drink again some day.

Best Old Fashioneds!
I read about Basil Haydens looking for a great Old Fashioned and this came 2nd in the list after Bulliet.I was not disappointed. Possibly the best flavored Old Fashioned I've ever made/had, it needs a touch more sugar syrup than normal but you won't be disappointed, my friend also had one and went and bought a bottle the day after.I also made a whisky sour and it was good but Monkey shoulder I would say complimented that more... But that makes me happy as I am more than happy to dedicate my old fashioneds to Basil Haydens only going forward.

More complex than the average bourbon
This has become a firm favourite in our household. Finding most bourbons oversweet, this rye-heavy whiskey has a drier finish than most and is wonderful mixed with lime and a good quality sugar-free ginger ale. I’d agree that the price is on the high side, especially as it’s bottled at just 40%ABV, but it you’re canny you can sometimes pick it up at a discount (spoiler: it tends to feature in the Black Friday and Prime a Day deals). Even at full price though, this is a great, distinctive bourbon that’s well worth investigating.
