Impressive Dash Cam – Even Better After the Latest Firmware Update!
I’ve been using the Nextbase Piqo Dash Cam for a while now, and it has been nothing short of excellent. The compact design makes it discreet, but don’t let the size fool you—this thing packs a punch when it comes to features! The video quality is outstanding, with crisp resolution that captures every detail, even in low-light conditions. The wide-angle lens ensures nothing is missed, and the built-in GPS provides precise location tracking. What really set this dash cam apart for me was the latest firmware update. After updating, I immediately noticed faster boot-up times, smoother Wi-Fi connectivity, and overall improved performance. The update also enhanced the Night Vision mode, making nighttime recordings even clearer. Nextbase clearly listens to its users and continues to refine an already fantastic product.Setup was a breeze, and the Nextbase app makes reviewing footage quick and easy. The added Emergency SOS feature is another huge plus for peace of mind. If you're looking for a reliable, high-quality dash cam, the Nextbase Piqo is a no-brainer—especially with the latest firmware improvements!Highly recommend!

Connectivity
I've been a nextbase user for years, after having to return an IQ due to it being faulty I saw this camera and thought it looks like a streamlined version of it! It refused point blank to update left it for over an hour to update firmware followed instructions to the letter. I skipped the update so I could get into the app (which barely functions) the camera said it was connected but then kept asking to reconnect. Sadly nextbase look like they are relying too much on wireless connectivity with dash cams instead of just plug and play, I'd give this one an avoid based on the experience I had with it. Sent back for a refund same day it came.

Small and mighty indeed
This Car Dash Cam lives up to its “small and mighty” promise. Its sleek design makes it almost invisible behind the rearview mirror, but it packs powerful features. The 1440p Ultra-Wide Quad HD footage is impressively clear, capturing critical details like license plates and road signs, which adds peace of mind on the road.Voice control is a standout feature, allowing hands-free operation to activate modes like Guardian and Witness Lite. I also appreciate the ESOS function for automatic alerts in serious accidents—a thoughtful addition for safety. The smart parking mode is another bonus, with collision detection and alerts via the app (though the extra cable for setup is a minor downside). Connectivity is seamless with 2.4GHz Wi-Fi, GPS, and Bluetooth, and the Nextbase app makes sharing and editing footage a breeze.Features like geofencing and incident notifications through Guardian Mode Lite are excellent for added vehicle security, especially when someone else is driving. The installation process is straightforward, and the included accessories help keep everything tidy and professional. If you’re looking for a compact, feature-packed dash cam, the Piqo 2K is a solid investment. Just don’t forget to pick up a Nextbase SD card and an optional hardwiring kit for full functionality.

Hard to remove from mount but OK apart from that. Better instructions would have been nice.
Update: I have now worked out how to remove camera from the mount (Thanks community!). You have to press the little tab and really force it upwards, it feels like you might pull the whole thing off the windscreen but it does work. This was annoying but everythng else seems good so far so have upgraded from 2 to 4 starsSeems easy enough to set up but i have been unable to see any videos from it so far. To download videos you have to have your ignition on to power the cam. Then you have to connect via wifi on your phone. When i tried this it took ages to reconnect to smartplay on my car and so i thought the best way would be to remove the cam and do this away from the can by just powering from a usb. However, once installed, you cannot remove the cam from its mount. Nextbase are unable to offer ny help with this except to slide it off the mount. I have tried this in every direction also whilst pressing the little plastic tab but to no avail. If anyone can post a video to show if this is possible then please do. So giving two stars for product and support until this is solved. If i cannot get it off i will return it.

Bad design and bad app and software.
Sticks out from the windscreen too much, mounting bracket poorly designed. Does not stay connected to my phone and worst of all will not install the latest available firmware update, says it is updating but never does. Do not buy this.

Initially I had issues, but found a few work arounds and am happy now
I bought this camera because it was small enough to put up behind my rear view mirror, it mainly hides up there but you can still see the bottom part, I didn't want or need one with a screen. This wouldn't be a problem if the LED wasn't so bright, constantly flashing red or blue, it is very distracting when driving at night, you can't turn it off. I have resorted to putting a piece of tape over it. Also the app is pretty poor, it is slow, disconnects from the camera whist using it and it only displays the last couple of hours of footage, my drive to work is about 3 and a half hours, so if I have an incident during the first half, I can't view it via my phone. It does record my whole journey, but to see it all I have to remove the micro SD card (caution this is sprung loaded and will rocket out) for use on a computer. On the positive side, the picture quality is good, and now I know its teething troubles it is all fine. Get a good quality micro SD designed for dash cams and a fitting wiring kit
