Excellent gadget for swimmers. Worth MORE than every dollar spent. Recommended for other customers
Rummaged through the net to find a wireless waterproof mp3 headphones for my swimming sessions and found the flextreme to be my inexpensive choice. After trying it out in gym as well as in the pool I concluded with the followings:PROS.1. Very inexpensive considering the 2 in one features & very good sound quality2. Extremely Lightweight3. Very good sound quality with decent bass (On Land as well as in water)4. Excellent battery life and bluetooth connectivity5. Large storage. ( Man, will I ever get to use the whole 8GB, its more than enough of storage for mp3s)6. Perfect fit ( Just use the right size of earbuds for land use and for use in the pool)CONS.1. A feature to oragnise files in folders and switch between folders is missing ( not much of a big deal for me but an upgrade of that feature in the upcoming versions would be an advantage for most listeners with large music library and to browse through an organised library with ease)NOTE:1. I handle my gadgets with great care and time will tell about the durability of the product (will update my review about it).2. For the audiophiles complaining about the sound quality, I doubt there are any other better product , waterproof with dual features that cost 50$ and has pristine sound quality with perfect bass.3. For comfortable fit (both on land and in water) try out the provided sizes of earbuds provided specifically for land use and water use.4. For use in the pool don't expect it to be as smooth as in land, ( as u all know water is a denser medium and offers quite a lot of resistance ) it gets muffed when water gets in between the swimming earbud layers. A slight touch or reajustment with the fit did the job for me.5. Dove 5ft below and swam for 1& half hours with the player on, the sound got muffled at first when i dove , a slight readjustment with the fit did the job and the sound stayed clear all throughout the session. Will get accustomed to an adjusted fit with use over time to keep the sound clarity constant and without the distubance of water getting into the way everytime.- Aonungden Longkumer,Abu Dhabi, UAE

Utter Garbage- Do not buy!!!
Started off fine, the sound was ok, I was not expecting great sound, so no complaints. I used it out of the water first while doing some yard work, streamed some music from my iPhone. I was satisfied with how it worked, buttons were easy to access and intuitive. I then transferred some mp3 files from my MacBook to the device, no issues, it was simply copied and paste. I went to the pool, knew streaming would not work in the water, easily changed to mp3 mode by simply holding down a button, the device tells you that it is going to mp3 mode. It shuffles the files and I started swimming, with some adjustments to the earpiece, I was doing my laps, then suddenly stopped. I thought that perhaps I did not charge long enough and it needed recharging so when I got to my computer to connect and recharge, no connection could be made, tried to charge directly from a USB outlet, nothing. The device was dead, so it might have been ok if I never swam with it, but I have much better earphones for land usage, I bought this for the pool and it stopped working after the first swim. I was not willing to try another one so I returned to Amazon for a full refund. I am still in the market for a swimmer's earphone that will work.

Well priced, comfortable, functional headphones
I bought these headphones to alleviate the extreme boredom of swimming laps. Initial unboxing impressions are:- well packaged- ear buds are separately bagged as "land use" (3) and "swimming use" (3)- instructions are clear and well written- unit charged up in about 15 minutes upon connection to a USB port- springy piece joining the two ear units is slightly kinked in the middle. Forms a "heart" shape rather than a smooth curve. This is evidently by design. Hopefully this won't become a point of failure.- Windows 10 PC immediately recognized the unit when I plugged it in.I loaded some MP3 files and took the player for a swim. The "large" buds worked best to keep the ear pieces in place. The buttons are easy to use and volume is adequate to hear the content over the sound of breathing and splashing. Sound quality is perfectly adequate, but I'm not a big audiophile. Water is amazingly effective at blocking a Bluetooth signal so unless you can keep your ears entirely out of the water at all times you can forget about using it.In summary, I'm very pleased with the player so far, and look forward to using it every day to listen to podcasts or music while I'm swimming laps.Update 8/30/2020Issues:- No combination of ear buds reliably keeps the water out, so the sound typically cuts out on one side or the other during a 40 minute swim.- 2 of the 4 gold contacts are discoloring. Does not seem to affect connectivity or charging.- The silver speaker grille on the left side has fallen off.Time to contact Pyle customer service...
