Did not like
This was my first time having barley tea. I did not like it. It tasted a bit burnt. Since I had no reference as to what quality barley tea should be like - I grabbed some quality barley malt of the same shade as this from by brewing room. I made some tea out of that. It tasted pretty close to the same. I guess that means this is of good quality and I just don't like it.

From China Not Japan
It's okay...I wasn't thrilled with this. I have a lot of barley tea, and love mugicha. I try to purchase those from Japan. Unfortunately when I selected this I trusted the title and didn't notice that this is sourced from China. This tasted okay, but when I opened the bag these do not match the tea bag displayed in the photo. These are not full toasted pieces of barley but crushed. These aren't in the pyramid teabags shown in the white/gold teacup in the picture. That picture also shows full pieces of barley and not powder. Again, the taste it okay, but the pictures didn't match at all when I received this tea.
