I am a fan of Ruth Ware. I love her writing style and the fact that her books are not the same, usually you will get a writer who has the same style and regurgitates this, but Ruth’s books are each different , unique style, research and perspective. However, the writing itself is always very good. I just finished reading ‘one by one’ and the description of the ski scene is so thrilling. Give this writer a go, you may like one of her books but may not like another, but try them all.
