So easy to put together and a very sturdy, gorgeous shelf. I saw what people were referring to as fiberglass, but it was just styrofoam strands from cutting the pieces. Not harmful or sharp - I just wiped everything down with a wet towel. Great quality for the price.

Box came in tore up (which I know shipping company did that). So a bar that was needed feel out.But I love the shelf it’s shelf

Easy to assemble. Nice to fill long walls or small spaces. Shelves are not adjustable so use measurements before purchasing these. There are a lot of pieces to screw together but take your time and it's not hard to do. Wish the allen heads were on the inside or back sides of the tubes so they weren't so visible that's my only complaint.

The box containing the shelves was full of fiberglass. I wouldn’t buy it again for that reason even though I love this bookshelf. If you are going to buy this shelf make sure you’re prepared with PPE to safely deal with loose fiberglass. Besides the fact that the use of fiberglass was reckless and unsafe on the part of the manufacturer, the shelf was very easy to assemble, is very sturdy and now that the fiberglass nightmare has been dealt with I’m very happy with the final product. Luckily I had masks and a partner who has professional experience with fiberglass on hand but this product could be very dangerous if you’re not prepared!

This shelf looks just as pictured - a nice black finish. The metal frame is sturdy, the shelves are black painted particle board that should hold up fine if you're not too rough with it. The whole item is decently light weight so be sure to secure it well if kids are around, but nothing to be worried about. The bars are a nice height to put books upright, and it works great for storage baskets too. We have it in the living room corner and it's a decoration all on its own.
