Great for Lego Masterbuilders of any age
My 8 year old son received this for his birthday and it took him a few hours to put together. This was the perfect level of difficulty for him, and perhaps it should be noted that he's been putting legos together for three or four years now. He loves to put together these sets that are suggested for older kids. As to level of difficulty compared to end result, it's excellent - he kept this particular dragon together for a couple of weeks before deciding to repurpose the pieces.

Doesn’t actually work with the boost set.
We bought this to build with boost and it is impossible. It asks for pieces that don’t come with either set (for instance the first gear. Asks for two. Set comes with one). When we try to snap pieces together they don’t fit correctly and everything falls apart. We have put together 50+ LEGO sets and this is the first one we have issues with (specifically the compatibility with boost). I’m sure it’s fine on it’s own, as all LEGO has been, but if you’re buying it to use with boost, it’s not a great buy.
