Doesn’t grip hair well and battery runs out really quickly. Probably only get one go of 5 mins out of mine before it needs charging again. Really disappointing.

It’s versatile enough to handle a variety of styles, and the temperature control works well for adjusting to different hair types.That said, it’s not the most powerful straightener if you’ve thick or very curly hair – it’s better suited for quick fixes rather than a full-on styling session. The battery life could be longer too, especially for thicker hair, but it's still decent for a compact device.

I suppose I’d put myself into the “common or slightly curly hair” based on the categorisation in the manual and so I tried the middle heat setting. It’s wasn’t as hot as I was expecting so then I tried the highest heat instead (180 degrees) which felt much better suited. It’s still not quite as hot as I’d like really but it’s sufficient to straighten my hair.Personally, it’s not a replacement or substitute for my straighteners (they are quicker and provide a much smoother, straighter finish) BUT with it being rechargeable and cordless, I think it’s a handy and practical styling tool to keep in my handbag when I'm out and about and need to “fix” an unruly wave or two on already-straightened hair.I’m yet to find a small cordless hot brush that gives a really sleek finish but I do think this is good enough for now, for what it does. The reverse and the handle both stay cool to the touch and I’ve not had any issues with overheating etc which is very reassuring. I think it’s a decent quality product.
