EXCELLENT Mini machine, so far, yet, Received a 'refurbished' product instead of a new one.
This machine installs ProxMox without issue. Enabled VT-d in the BIOS and you are pretty much good to go. It's a tiny beast. I will buy this machine again.I will come back with updates as I install pfsense and such in VM's and assign them to usb3 wired and wireless network adapters and such.Regarding the seller: TaiShengDianZiI received a refurbished machine that has work from home software installed. The box was not closed all the way, and as I opened it, it became obvious the product was previously opened, as the open sticker was placed on the inside of the box, and the contents were not packed in a way that allows the manufacturer box to close all the way. The booklet states "On the very first startup, The PC goes to BIOS" It did not. It went to an already configured Windows 11 Desktop with remote desktop software "Working Solutions Contractor PC Scan" already installed.. of which I assume this PC failed the test. The software was installed 1/5/2025 according to the installed apps, and the rest of the system has a date of 5/21/2024.Sold by: TaiShengDianZi gets 1 product star for providing a refurbished product instead of a new product.Just be aware when you buy this machine which seller you are picking.

Amazing little wonderful N100 box
This mini PC is awesome. The OEM is WeiBu, model N9N Pro.Case quality is great. Really nice feel to the touch. Board quality is really good. Decent heatsink and fan, great mounting system with screws with springs. Good thermal paste application. It can be turned on just by getting power. It includes a SATA flex cable, so you get SATA, NVME, M2 Wifi. It also uses DDR4, single slot, so it's cheap to run and upgrade later down the road. The two 2.5Gbit NICs are Intel I226-V. Nice surprise. I was expecting Realtek 8125B. Both I226-Vs are connected via PCIe.Idle power for this particular N100 box is around 7-8 watts measured at the wall. The N100 has all the required extensions (VT-x, VT-d) so it's an ideal virtualization host. Runs proxmox well. It's also an excellent opnsense/openwrt firewall/router, virtualilzed or not.Wifi card is an Intel 3165, 1x1 AC, two antennas. NVME drive came with a Windows image, two partitions. Didn't even use it, didn't even check what version of Windows it was, just nuked the drive with nvme-cli with a NVME to USB adapter.Thermals and noise are good. They could be better if the fan had a better source of fresh air, but it's not a problem. You can always run the board by itself in open air with some stands. Now, the bad stuff. Only one thing... Sadly, it does not boot from the SD card slot. The SD card shows up in the boot menu for legacy/MBR boot, not UEFI and even then the BIOS does not pick up whatever legacy bootable image you wrote on the SD card. Pop the card into a USB SD card reader, and it shows up for boot as a USB device.SD card boot was ideal for openwrt, oh well. SD card slot works just fine though once you load an operating system. So, great value, not only because of the 16GB RAM and 512GB NVME drive included. Pleasantly surprised by the hardware and the build quality. Sad the SD card slot can't be used to boot, but the rest is awesome.
