My daughter's high school went to clear backpacks this year. We bought one locally and she hated it. This backpack served as its replacement.I must say that this bag is sturdier, carries more, has larger/wider straps and its weight distribution is much much better.She carries it everyday without complaint, considers it stylish and quite comfortable on her shoulder(s). A huge win in my book.

Nice durable backpack
It’s great but the could use a different material for the straps. Overall 4.5. It doesn’t crack or harden when in cold weather. It has very functional pockets. It looks great for the price

The pencil bag
The pencil bag it’s foggy with water droplets like if it was returned because they couldn’t clean it. I will be returning it maybe that’s how the backpack will turn foggy. Update: after returning the backpack, I have notice that the STRAPS from the backpack MOVE by the time my daughter gets back from school she was the back pack under her bum. I’mReturning it for a different backpack. NO more chances.
