I got this to use on the Sony 24mm GM lens. It makes a very nice combo - compact and functional. The hood fits beautifully, and its clever locking ring keeps it in proper orientation.It also includes a slide-on cap, which works great.Highly recommended.

No issues with the hood but the cap/cover that comes with it is terrible and difficult to get onto the hood. The cover is made of cheap plastic and must be slid onto the hood from a very specific angle. Previously purchased other Hoage square hoods, which came with a very nice metal cover that pushes directly onto the hood and secures snuggly.

I had a different image in mind when I bought this that it would effectively block stray light rays but it really is mostly effective if the light is directly above and beside. I get it can’t be too deep due to the wide angle lens on the phone vignetting around the edges. I may need to get a tubular attachment for that.This does work well for placing your camera against a window to cut down on the reflections from the people and light in the room. I also like the ring lock on the screw-on attachment that allows you to adjust the position and hold it in place to keep it from rotating and becoming askew.

rubbish. can't even align with lens. and if filter used, the alignment is totally wonky

This lens hood is very well made, and the locking screw feature is also valuable. However, this size of lens hood is still too narrow for use on a 12mm lens mounted on a micro 4/3 camera. Note a 12mm lens is a significant wide angle lens. This lens shade is NOT wide enough to prevent the presence of vignette in the corners of your images when using this lens hood. Note, to fit this lens hood on the Panasonic-Leica 12mm lens, you have to use a 62mm to 67mm step up ring. This lets this larger lens hood fit on that 12mm lens. NOTE - The vignette is subtile, but definitely present at wider apertures. For a careful user you need the 77mm Haoge Square Metal Screw-in Mount lens hood Shade, I have also reviewed that lens hood under that listing where I gave it 5 stars.
