Fantastic tasting sauce that has an intense kick, even as someone with a fairly high tolerance
I really like the branding on this bottle, it’s got a simple & sleek design with all the information you care about clearly written onto it. My only comment about the bottle is that the BBE date section on the back was left blank and there is no indication of when the batch was produced, which feels a little unusual. The label also states that the sauce should be used within 60 days, which feels exceptionally short for a hot sauce, even for a non-vinegar one. I’m willing to bet you’d get around 6–12 months from this sauce in the fridge, but I guess the label assumes the worst case with the sauce left on the worktop.Other than the lack of a BBE or batch number the bottle arrived nicely sealed with a plastic cover over the cap and after some poking with a chopstick to clear the neck of the bottle and a hard shake it was ready to use.As someone who tends to use 5-8 out of 10 hot sauces almost daily, this sauce was still able to give me an intense kick of heat that surprised me, even a small dab on the end of a pinky was impressive. Though it’s going to be quite subjective at the end of the day, someone who uses sriracha or frank’s redhot is going to think this is an insanely spicy hot sauce and be reaching for soothing drinks, but those who are used to a good bit of heat will get to enjoy the nuanced flavours and natural ingredients. Is it the hottest hot sauce I've ever tasted? Nah, but it is one of the tastier hot sauces when you get into the upper end of heat, which is more important to me as someone who prefers flavour-first sauces rather than the disgusting heat-first sauces out there.I wasn’t aware of Spicy Rye’s sauces before this popped up and I'm glad to have found another local hot sauce company. I'll definitely be keeping them in mind when I'm running low as they have a bunch of interesting looking options spanning from mild to intense like this black label version. The asking price of £9.95 is right around what I'd expect to pay for a sauce of this heat level and quantity. Especially for a small-batch produced sauce that’s not got any additives to thin it out or thicken it up.

Buyer beware, this is VERY SPICY
I am a connoisseur of spicy foods, and with so many of them claiming to be "extremely hot" yet missing the mark, I am always looking for something to challenge me.This hot sauce definitely delivered on that premise. This sauce is no joke and believe me when I say - USE IT SPARINGLY.Beyond just spiciness, the sauce has quite a nice flavour, thought it may be a bit difficult to enjoy it considering the heat and how little of it you're supposed to use.I used it on some chicken wings and rice and it amped up both heat and flavour of both.At the time of writing, this hot sauce is £10, which seems like quite a lot for just 150ml, however considering how little you can use per serving I think this is actually a great value.Overall, if you want something that is very VERY hot, I think you won't regret trying this hot sauce out.

Oooh oooh oooh hot!!
Spicy Rye’s Very Hot Pepper Sauce Black Edition absolutely lives up to its name. My brother, in particular, who enjoys seriously hot sauces, was impressed both by the depth of flavour and the sheer intensity of the heat. With Carolina Reaper, Ghost Pepper, Habanero and Scotch Bonnet all packed into this 150ml bottle, it delivers a great big punch and is definitely not for the faint-hearted. The sauce is a rich, dark brown with a smooth, thick consistency that pours well, and the bottle comes sealed with clear nutritional info and storage instructions. While I couldn’t spot a best before date (it was blank), it does say to use within 60 days of opening, which is more than fair given how little you need per serving. A few drops go a long way - whether stirred into pasta sauce, mixed into mayo, drizzled on pizza, or used in chilli or marinades, the result is always intense, flavourful heat that builds in layers and lingers. What sets this sauce apart from many other ultra-hot options is that it isn’t just about burning your mouth, it actually tastes really good. It is versatile and therefore works well with all kinds of dishes. That said, it is seriously hot. I wouldn’t recommend having a spoonful on an empty stomach unless you’re up for a real challenge!!! It’s the kind of heat that creeps up, keeps going, and doesn’t let up quickly, so you need to respect it. One taste and you’ll know exactly why there are six chillies on the label. The quality is top-notch, from the ingredients to the presentation. The only thing I’d change is the label design, which can be a little hard to read, and I do wish the bottle was slightly larger, but given how long it lasts, it should be around for a while. Highly recommended for any true chilli lover.

Very hot, but lovely added to other foods
I ordered this hot sauce for myself, as I generally love food with a good spicy heat to it, and I was hoping this wouldn't dissapoint. The sauce is a dark brown colour and is smooth and easy to pour, the bottle arrives with a sealed cap, and has all the important nutritional information clearly printed, as well as a how to store it, unfortunately the best before date wasn't shown, but it does say to use it within 60 days of opening, which is good as you really will not need to use much each time.Taste wise its literally eye watering, I like to think I can handle a fair amount of heat in my food, but this was past my level, having said that its perfect for adding to other foods, and does improve chilli in particular, as long as you add it cautiously.Overall its a product I've really been enjoying, but not as the condiment I originally thought it might be, it's perfect for adding to soups, chilli's etc, and used sparingly it not only lasts longer, but improves a variety of dishes, so I am happy to recommend it.
