Hello, Kapecute 10-ounce package consists of 34 quarts of dried and fluffy sphagnum moss compressed into a small package. The drier the sphagnum moss (the lower its water content) is, the more volume of sphagnum moss it needs to be added before compression. Our sphagnum moss is very dry, and we want to keep the moisture from taking up too much weight, but make sure the product itself weighs up to 10 ounces. The volume of 18 quarts is the volume of wet and fluffy sphagnum moss you get after soaking 10 ounces of sphagnum moss in water for 10 minutes (the volume of dry sphagnum moss is larger than the volume of wet sphagnum moss).

Q: Will this sphagnum moss grow if I hydrate it properly?

Mine did with the introduction of a single piece of live sphagnum

Q: How many cubic feet is this?

I don't know the exact answer. My guestimation is 4-8 cubic feet if you use the whole package.
