Very soft, doesnt fall apart, velcro holds tight.
I use these as wax and very fine polish pads for towel marks. They are soft, but not mushy. They haven't torn out, chipped or started self destructing regardless of the chemicals used. The velcro holds tight and doesn't detach from the pad. They are absorbant enough to not spatter compound or wax all over the edges. They are easy enough to wash out in a bucket after use. The shape of the sides are idealThats better than I can say about any soft polishing pad I've used over my life. Most others just start losing chunks after a few uses. These hold up surprisingly well.

Great Pad for the Weekend Warriors
Please note that this is their new version of the Black pad. I've heard from numerous weekend warriors that their old version of this pad was horrible. I enjoy working on my cars on weekends so when I bought my 2014 Porsche Cayenne back in December, I decided that I would keep it detailed. I've always just car washed my previous vehicles (Nissan Sentra, Honda S2000, Toyota Highlander) and never tried using a polisher. What a difference it makes! After much research, I bought this pad to use it on the Griot's 6" DA Polisher along with MOTHERS California Gold Micro-Polishing Glaze.First I washed the car then I used a clay bar. After that, I used the orange pad with Mother's Pure Polish. I then used this pad and I could really notice the difference on my 2001 Toyota Highlander. A lot of the fine imperfections were really diminished after using this pad. The last step was to use the red pad and the carnauba wax to bring the shine out on my dull 14 year old vehicle. It has been a month and I just give it a quick wash on the weekend to bring back out the waxed shine.Note that this is a large pad intended to use on a large obstructed surface. If you need to work in a tight spot, look to invest in a 3" backing plate with some 3" pads.

Pricey!
I like these pads for cleaning and polishing and I thought I was ordering two pads ($26.99) but this was just one for $20.99. Return shipping is just under $4 so I feel a little ripped off.

Awesome pad!
Awesome pad!! It does suck up product, but otherwise it holds together and spreads wax and polish evenly. So here's my run down scale 1-10, 10 being awesome, 1 being don't use or buy:Durability (does the pad maintain form with multiple use, that is it does not flake up gunk up or fall apart): 10Usability ( can the pad be used for more than one application): 10Absorption (how much product does the pad absorb): 7Spread (how well does the pad spread product): 10Abrasiveness ( can you use it for heavy cutting): 1 **This pad is soft, you could use it for lite swirls or very lite scratches***Overall, the pad is good, I used it to spread paste wax, micro polish, regular wax. The only caveat to this pad is it takes FOR EV ER to dry if you wash it out.

They work well. Soft and absorbant.
Let me open with "I'm not an expert in paint correction or automotive detailing."With that in mind I have used these pads to polish and detail three cars so far, and it's worked very well each time. I used Meguiar's M205 polishing compound with these and it worked pretty well, specially considering I'm brand new at this. They were pretty easy to clean after the fact and stuck to the DA pad adapter pretty well. Overall I'm pretty happy with the purchase and would purchase again.

Got My Monies Worth...
I used the orange pad to apply my product and the black to buff it back out using the Griot's Random Orbiter. I found tar and grease splotches came off with ease using the orbiter and the black pad made my car look like new. It held up fine. I liked the beveled edge too as it got in between crevices in my wheels which was a nice bonus. The pad held firm to the hook and loop with no issues. I'm happy with the purchase and this was my first Griot's after using 3M before which also held up well.

Griots Foam Pad beats black trailblazer SS in battle!
Quality Griots Garage product that you all know and love. Bought this pad to fit on my orbital waxer. Its opponent - a BLACK 2006 Trailblazer SS. I drive this as my daily, all year round in Wisconsin, so it sees ALL of the weathers elements.I take care of my vehicle's paint with handwashing, claybar, protection, and stay away from any kind of brushes or automatic car washes.Wash, clay, buff, wash, polish, waxAnyways, Ill just let the picture do the talking...
