Season 4 of the international hit series Babylon Berlin is set in 1930s Germany, just after the global stock market crash and the Great Depression, and with the Nazis' march to power in full swing. The story centers on detective Gereon Rath (Volker Bruch) and his ambitious colleague Charlotte Ritter (Liv Lisa Fries). As Gereon's investigations lead him into the fixed fights of the boxing world - and politically, uncomfortably close to Hitler's militant supporters - Charlotte risks her job to help her homeless sister, who roams the streets of Berlin with a group of young peers, fighting for survival.

A GREAT CONTINUATION OF THE BIZZARE
Have only watched one episode so far. But it looks like it's going to be a fine addition to the previous editions. Can't wait to see more. Update: After a 2nd listen I can say that the the audio (and to a lesser extent the video) is much improved relative to earlier seasons.

Great Series.
Outstanding series - great acting, sets, art, characters. 4 is the run up to the rise of Hitler. The accuracy to historic events is amazing. Anxious for season 5.

Still an excellent show!
The first two seasons were superb. Seasons 3 and 4 are still excellent but a bit formulaic. Don’t get me wrong it’s a very good formula but it may be that I’m getting too familiar with it. The mysteries in season 3 and 4 are fine but they do not integrate into a seemless depiction of society the way the first two seasons did.
