Water heater sacrificial rod
Very easy to install with the flexible stainless cable. Great that it comes with the right size socket and teflon tape. Fast and easy to install., just remove the old one and swap this one in! Only took about 15 minutes.

Just wandering
So the first element I ordered did not last long. I have an instant hot water heater. Unsure at this point if it was a problem with the element or possible air in the line. However, while it was working it worked fine. I have ordered from the same company again. If this goes out soon I will try another company to isolate the problem.

Titanium was a good choice!
I purchased the heating elements to replace a bad element in my rheem 18k tankless. They came fast and fit great. I just replaced both copper ones.So I've only had them in for a week now and it has me thinking I had a bad element in my tankless sense I bought the unit just over 2 years ago. Used to have turn the hot water up all the way and only have to turn the cold on slightly to combat. Now it's complete opposite. 2 years of being used to a specific way I turned the tub spounts in the morning to set my shower. Now it's turn the hot slightly on and crank the cold. I have my water heater set to 115 so it's not anything crazy either. The elements just work now I guess. Used to be somewhat upset with the tankless mainy because I thought I got a well underpowered one for my house. But now very happy. The real question will be is how long they last. Thanks

Everything you need in a box
This is perfect for low ceiling installation, it comes with the correct socket (27 mm or 1 1/16 in), this is standard size for all U.S heater. The OEM rod is notoriously tight from the factory. If you struggle taking the OEM rod off, you can use an elongated pipe inserted into the wrench handle for more leverage, power-tool might work too, but need to do it slow. Be careful not to strip the head.To change the anode rod, you need to close the water input, and drain some of the water out of the tank to release the pressure first. There are videos abound, if you are not sure, consult a professional. The length is exactly 44".Before inserting it, bend each joint straight, you want to have this relatively straight in the tank.If you can't get the old rod out because it's too long, you can cut it with a grinder or saw, like I did.Mine was covered with slime, although it has lots of metal left, i changed it anyway. The reason for the metal being preserved better is because i don't set the temperature too high. The higher your hot water temperature is, the faster it attacks the anode rod.

titanium
Arrived quickly and looked good.I am trying the titanium because my water was easily corroding the regular brass ones. I have not seen an issue with these since installing them.
