Great Product Worth the Piece of Mind
These being connected and all going off together gives me a lot more confidence I’ll wake up to an alarm on the other side of the house down in the basement. These have been easy to install and connect and I feel like they are much louder than the standard Kidde alarms I have. It’s also nice to be able to test from the app without having to get out the step ladder. I got one of the combo alarms and it was easy to add to this base station. I’ll probably add another couple combo alarms to ensure I have extra coverage.Price wise there are not much more than regular “dumb” alarms so for piece of mind I would highly recommend.

Saved the Day
I purchased the entire x-sense smart system. It included both the smoke and the heat sensors. The app was easy to install on my phone and easy to use I set up several smoke alarms and a couple heat sensors. It was a couple of weeks after I set it up that I was out of my house and got an alert on my phone that an alarm was triggered. We went home right away and found out that a pan had been left on the stove and was smoking. We are so happy that the system worked as advertised and are thinking about expanding the system in the future. I would recommend this to anybody looking for a smart smoke/heat alarm system.

Peace of Mind in a Large Home!
After moving into a much larger home and being farther from my children, this smoke alarm has given me so much peace of mind. The voice alerts with specific locations make it easy to know exactly where danger is, and the phone notifications ensure I’m always informed no matter where I am. Installation was simple, and I love that I can test it from the app without needing a ladder. This has truly made me feel safer—highly recommend!

Good Quality, Good Sound, Easy Install
I bought these after my boss' house burned down while he was at work and the thought of not knowing about a fire until it was too late didn't sit well with me. Easy install and seamless with the app. I've run a few simulations and it's very loud and communicates with all the other detectors I have in the house. I've already convinced 2 more people to buy these, very well worth it.

Good value for what is provided and they just work
I really like this system. It is priced well and works very well. The room naming and voice function is really nice, but it doesn't forego the LOUD alarm, too, which some brands do. The app is easy to use, is stable and just does what it's designed to do. So far we've had no issues with these and tested them all thoroughly. The only complaint I have is that it is not intuitive in the app how to test the linkage. There should be a simpler way to test that linking is working fully other than running a "fire drill". It took some time to figure that out, because when you test an individual node, it doesn't activate the other alarms. That is the only real flaw I've found so far.Given the almost overkill requirements code places on you for placement of nodes these days, the days of minimal function and high price Kidde seems to be in love with are over. You don't have to spend a fortune to stay safe anymore.

Easy install and programming
The install and the programming was straight forward. I set up 6 smokes, with voice location, and one CO detector connected to a base station. I knew that the voice location announcement was limited to 17 specific names. It would be better with more bedroom locations. My only disappointment was in testing all the detectors with one press or app button. In the base station setup, each detector can be easily tested by the button or the app. To make the entire system alarm AND announce the location where the alert started, you must use real smoke, not suggested by me in any way, or use a spray can of simulated smoke. I ordered the can of spray. Far from earth shattering but an app button to do this would be nice to have. The units look good, and the LED lights are large and bright. Customer service by phone and by e-mail was great. A couple of questions were quickly answered.Since installing the smoke and co detectors, I have added the mailbox sensor and two water sensors. All are real easy to add to the system. The spray smoke worked great. Less than 1/2 second spray burst did the trick. After getting more familiar with the smokes, o, mailbox and water sensors, I am updating to 5 stars.

Disappointing Sensitivity - Needs Improvement
I recently purchased this smoke alarm, hoping it would provide reliable safety in my home, but I’ve been disappointed by its poor sensitivity. Despite being in a smoke-filled environment (such as when cooking with a bit of smoke), it often doesn’t trigger the alarm. This lack of responsiveness makes me question how reliable it would be in an actual emergency. The alarm works when I hold a lighter near it (which is clearly not how it should be tested), but even then, it takes far too long to go off. For a safety device, this is unacceptable. I would recommend looking for something more responsive, especially if you value peace of mind when it comes to fire safety. On the plus side, installation was easy, and the design is sleek, but unfortunately, that doesn’t make up for its major flaw.

All the features, no false alarms
I had a full house of new Kidde wired alarms that would not stop giving false alarms in the middle of the night. I threw them all out, replaced with these x-sense (6 smoke, 3 combo), and couldn't be happier. Firstly, no false alarms. The smoke units are nice and compact. Talking alarms state smoke location. The app lets me monitor the battery state and make sure all are connected. The hub allows IoT integration, in particular I use Home Assistant and can see all unit details. I also have a "smoke detector detector" unit for my burglar alarm (listens for the smoke alarms going off and calls the fire department), and these units are correctly detected.
