The parts and design themselves are great. The massive failure is in execution.- the QR code to use if the electronics don’t work itself in actuality doesn’t work-most instructions in what is probably Chinese and the translation to English isn’t great-smoke/fogger part worked for about 20 seconds. I added enough water with the dropper until it started to come out to make sure it was full, didn’t even go fast and barely a drop overflowed, yet it stopped going and never came back on.-downloaded the app but can’t get it to pair with my phone- remote control can’t control speed and it goes a bit fast for my taste. Plus it won’t go unless you’re pushing the button on the remote. I would like to turn it on and see it going around and puffing away on its own when I turn it on.Bought a new smoke stack/ fogger part on my own. Hopefully this one works better. Still fun to put together. 🙂

We wanted to save a couple of hundred , and we paid for it. All the reviews above about how bad it is , well, they are right. The final result looks amazing. But the connection in the pieces is lacking. After work and trauma, the train never worked, and you will have more anxiety attacks than enjoyment putting it together. Just spend the extra couple hundred and enjoy the other leading brand. L@@O.

The cord for the lights have burned out and the power box. Difficult to assemble the legos didn't stay together, so you had to reassemble constantly. The price of this train set was unreasonable for its quality. I can't even return it or get the wiring replaced. There isn't a kit that has all the charge box plus wires the contents available. I also bought a different train for my son and he had some trouble with instructions. Not functional 3000 plus set

While this is a beautiful set, after all the work of putting it together, I am now going to have to return it because the battery pack burned out after only 15 total (not consecutive) mins of run time. Everything was connected as per provided directions. The train died on the track pulling only 1 of the 2 cars and the battery pack stunk like burned plastic.
