MOLDY CACAO BEANS DO NOT BUY!
I spent $40+ dollars to have this shipped FRESH and they arrived FULLY MOLDY. I requested a refund from the merchant and never heard back from them. The quality was horrendous, the beans inside were not fresh anymore. I did taste test in fruit inside and it was not good anymore and I got sick after that. This is overpriced and not worth a penny! I need a refund!

Fruit arrived moldy
We saw mold on the outside skin of one of the pods and when we opened the fruit, you can see a portion inside is dried out/ rotten. We took the beans that looked ok and tried to ferment anyway but they got moldy.

Did not grow!
These pods are labeled as FRESH however, the seeds did not germinate at all. I was very disappointed as that waa the purpose of this purchase.

This product is exactly as it should be. Most folks don't really understand Cacao pods. They are supposed to be moldy. Chocolate is a Fermented food. When you receive your pods the cacao beans should have a white mold on them. Take the moldy beans out of the pod. Then, spread the beans in a single layer on a clean surface like a cookie sheet, and sun-dry them for several days, turning them regularly to ensure even drying; Then, once dry, roast the beans in an oven at a low temperature (around 250°F) for 20-30 minutes, monitoring closely and stirring occasionally to achieve your desired roast level. Lastly, cool them and grind them into cocoa nibs or cocoa powder.P.S. These pods are not seeds, they are not for planting. They are for making cocoa powder or chocolate.
