Sharpening the pencil is a nightmare. I even bought the staedtler sharpener and the leaf falls right out of the pencil! Really frustrating because I love the feel of the lead on paper!

Staedtler Mars Lumograph Graphite are probably the best graphite pencils out there. This first time I bought Staedtler pencils on Amazon. These pencils arrive 24hr after my order (fast!). However, the package of 12 pencils arrived in an Amazon envelope. Two the pencils have badly fractured leads (about every 1.5cm). The 9B pencils are soft lead graphite and can be fragile. You'd be better off ordering from Blick or other dedicated art store where they package the pencils with bubble wrap placed in a larger box for shipment rather than an envelope. I can still use the pencils as I do not have 9B but with shorter exposed lead. Staedtler pencils five stars, packaging and shipment three stars (hence four stars average overall). Since this came from Amazon's warehouse, so other buyers might see different packaging.

My students were so excited to use these! The leads seem to be thicker than the lower number B pencils, and that definitely helps reduce breakage of these super soft, dark pencils.

The pencil lead is a great and accurate (9B)consistency and very soft. There is always a danger of improper handling causing pencil lead breakage but so far this is not the case with this batch. Pencils were packed well and are a quality product. Very satisfied!

I use this pencil for lead carving, it is a wonderful one if you are a learner in lead carving. It is a great pencil, they are sturdy and really great.

Very amazing quality, can get a good dark shade with this unlike other pencils and I'm lucky about my pencils

三本削りました。芯が折れている時もありますが、抜いて削れば使えてます。思ったよりも芯が固く柔らかさがないので、昔の◯Bの鉛筆を想像して買うと拍子抜けのような感覚になります。芯が硬いと使う用途によっては思うように使えないかもしれないので注意かもです。ちなみに私は布に印をつけたり型紙を作るのに使用していますが、紙などに書くのは問題ないのでいいと思いますが、布にはもう少し柔らかい方が描きやすく思います。不織布には、描きにくいです

Wie erwartet sind 9B Bleistifte bei mir angekommen. Sie funktionieren so wie sie sollen. Einer ist fast schon verbraucht. Sollte meine Packung mal leer sein, werde ich mir definitiv neue bestellen.
