Works - might need to make modifications
I installed this on my DeWalt DWS780 which is mounted to a Bosch T4B Gravity Rise stand. This may be the most popular saw and best stand on the market, but they didn't really provide proper hardware for mounting it, and the instructions are lacking. For now, I used the bolts that hold the back of the saw to the Bosch stand to attach the hood brackets. There is no other place to attach them on this setup. The included bolts will not work with this stand. It works but I'd like to get the hood further forward, which I can't, because of the curve of the DeWalt casting and the square bending of the hood brackets. I attached a bunch of photos so you can see. Another deficit is the lack of hose adapters. I jerry-rigged it with some random parts I had laying around, to connect to my Fein shopvac. I do have 4" dust collection in my shop, but this unit is portable so I need the flexibility to use a shopvac. Include a simple adapter, please. A 4" hose clamp is all they included. It did contain most sawdust. Only very fine stuff worked its way out the front and that is because I can't quite get it into the right position with the included hardware. The light is a bit hokey, and not necessary. I may remove it. The elastic they attached it with will fail over time, especially in sunlight, so it's not a great solution. For my setup, I decided that one solution would be to attach L bracket to the outside of each Bosch mount (inverted). Then I can drill holes in that and attach the brackets to that. There are plastic parts inside the Bosch mounts (not visible) that interfere with drilling through the tops. Drilling through the lower half of the sides of those rails should be okay for attaching the L brackets. But really, they need to provide some additional brackets to provide flexibility, and instructions with ideas for all different stand models, or at least the most popular ones. Hard to believe they didn't test this on the Bosch system prior to shipping.

I needed one for my garage miter saw.
I have the Rousseau model in my shop on a Rousseau stand. I had first built a homemade one but it was cumbersome, so I caved and bought it. Why do I bring up the Rousseau? Because it is the top seller, and the one to compete with this one. The Rousseau at the time of this printing is an additional 22.3% more expensive. Oddly enough, both the Rousseau lighted model, and this lighted model have more of a knapsack stuffed into a duffel bag look. In other words, they are kind of loosey-goosey... dare I use the word wrinkly.Maybe there is something in the nature of adding a light strip that precludes making a tighter fit like the Rousseau model without the lights which is the one that I have. I like that both of them fold up and can be stored in a bag that is included because I keep my Makita miter saw in the garage up on a shelf/landing, that is lowered with an electric hoist.None of those are absolutely perfect in capturing all of the dust, but WAY better than not having one. I find the miter saw the one tool that creates the most amount of dust right behind the saw. Now, just a little bit leaks out the front, and most of it finds its way to the exhaust port. Now onto the great things about this MOOF dust collection hood. This is no Mickey Mouse piece of equipment, more like industrial grade. The overall heft/weight of this will leave you shocked. The metal attaching brackets are made from 5/16" steel. It has a 4" dust collection port, which you can purchase a 4" to 2 1/2" adapter for it to use with a standard shop vac. There are two things worth mentioning when it comes to use a standard shop vac. One is that miter saws don't produce high volumes of dust the way a planer does, so a standard shop vac can hold up to continued use especially if you use the dust collection bag option for your shop vac. However, and 4" port will move more air, more quickly, resulting in a cleaner overall dust collection experience. The rings that make up the hoop the fabric sits upon are metal as well. The photo from the front gives it a more of a wrinkly appearance, I guess that is why because it has to wrap around, and condense towards the center, whereas the photo from the bag creates a smoother appearance. The material is very durable, and unless you accidentally cut it, it should last a very long time. Overall, I give it 5 stars. My other one doesn't have lights, so I am kind of excited about that feature on this one.

This thing is immense. Too big for my 30" benchtop.
Alright, it is suppose to handle sliding miter saws , sliding rods that take up space in back. But my application is on a bench which is against a wall. I don't have a sliding table saw but if I upgrade it would be a sliding miter saw like the Bosch miter saw (compact in back). This dust hood has 19 inches of empty space behind my miter saw! My benchtop needs to be 12 inches deeper than the current 30 inches, or cut a huge hole in the wall. So my options are limited, 1. buy a mobile miter saw station that can accomadate this immense dust hood, or 2. return it and find something smaller in back. Other than this short coming the hood is fine. I am returning it.
